I can't stop thinking about Lac-Megantic

The before and after pictures are killing me. They are never going to find the bodies, the explosion was so intense it looks like there are only ashes left from the buildings. So sad. Those poor people.

Yes I saw an interview where the person was talking about all the deaths and the journalist was saying "missing not dead". The guy replied "this is a small town, you don't go missing. They are not here, therefore they are dead."

It really is a tragedy. The town looks(looked) so beautiful and peaceful.

Such an awful tragedy. My heart goes out to that town. I can't imagine the loss.

so what exactly happened? I just googled and see that 4 trains were shut down and someone did the 5th one which released the break pressure... but then what happened? the whole thing rolled down a hill into town?

Yes, at a crazy speed.  And it was full of oil.  It exploded in the center of the town and the entire street basically disappeared from the explosion.

This accident has really freaked me out. It's really made me think about how vulnerable me all are.
