first they ate my black eyed susans, I thought it was a fluke as they never did that the previous years. So I replanted....and they ate again.
then I planted zinnias, which they have not touched the last 3 years, and they ate them all within 48 hours (mostly the leaves, I was left with bare sticks)
then I ripped those out and planted cosmos, lantana, dianthus, and something else I can't remember. AND THEY ATE THEM ALL.
greedy bunnies!!!! They don't like my salvia though, maybe that's all I should plant.
Jenniebeeb recommended Liquid Fence and that seems to be working for me. I've also been supplementing with Shake Away because I also have a wood chuck. I see the bunnies in the yard, but they don't go near the area with the liquid fence. You do have to re-apply it regularly and it smells awful.
I prefer fencing off things rather than sprays or the like because then I don't have to keep applying every time I water or it rains. I only do that to important plants that aren't established yet and/or I would be upset to lose though because I can't fence off everything. I also try to plant the tastier plants closer to the house. With the smell of the dog stronger their they tend to stay on the outskirts of the yard at the edge of the woods. There are plenty of plants for them to eat in none landscaped areas of our land so I do my best to encourage them to hang out there.
If the population of rabbits is really high in your area you might want to consider hiring a pest control company to come trap some of them. The population is only going to keep getting bigger until there is no more food to sustain them. Our city friends did this a couple years ago and had a lot of luck with it. It's been 3 years or so and they've been seeing more rabbits each year but it's still much better than it was.
I think the squirrels or chipmunks are at it too. Something has been eating only my flowers off the plants on my deck and around front something ate the leaves off my little hostas.

I hate rabbits. DH & I saw a dead one yesterday in a neighbor's garden plot. We may or may not have yelled out in glee.
I set up chicken wire around my bed of lettuce - they made it through. Then I set up hardware cloth around each individual plant, and that seems to be working. I think it's too small of an opening for them to hop into. Sorry, I guess that's not much of a solution for you.
