I thought chicken bones weren't safe even if they were cooked??
That's what I thought too. Raw bones in general are supposed to be safer than cooked because they don't splinter. I think cooked chicken bones are especially bad.
Just coming in to dispell a myth. Dogs can eat raw chicken carcasses. The bones are fine for the and clean their teeth as they chew them up. Cooked are bad. In tambs situation the bone is likely cooked/processed and I wouldn't feed it.
I thought the same thing because I know cooked bones are bad but the quote Tamb posted said it was cooked in a way that made it soft. I'm guessing that it won' splinter if it's soft.
I found the same thing in a can of Merrick (I think Smothered Comfort flavor lol). It freaked me out too. It was somehow processed so it was really soft and chewable but I tossed it. Ew.
