Boopers is not loyal, whenever we are out on walks or at the dog park she is looking for a new family to take her home. She would probably bust out the car and run away, probably get her own reality show or something.

Is this a pug thing? My pug would literally hop into someone else's car in a minute. I think she would miss be eventually, but maybe not lol

I don't have a pug but one of my dogs is like this, too. We could just hand his leash over to some random on the street and he would be so happy and excited for his new family.

Boopers loves everyone, and I think she would be happiest if she was in a single pug household. Chubbs would probably be happier too, oh well, they have to live with each other like all brothers and sisters do!
Me too! I feel like people know Tucker is a hunting dog and they'd try to steal him around here. And he's a beauty. Yes he is.
Though ours isn't trained, she's still considered a highly sought after breed around here. We don't really take her in public nor do we really tell people about her breed. We let people just assume she's some sort of beagle mix.
We took her fishing with us once, tied her to a giant log so she could run while we fished. This old dude kept eye balling her and talking about how "some of them *insert Paula Deens views* stole my dogs; I've been looking for one just like them for a long time now. Yours looks just like them, how much did you pay for her?" We packed up a left.
People are so creepy about dogs if they have something appealing about them, be it how they're trained, what their worth is, do they hunt, are they a toy model, etc.
And just for the record, I'd probably steal your dog Tamb. He's ADORABLE!

One of our pugs does the same thing. Shes so damn cute everyone wants her too. She's tried walking out the gates with other people at the dog park before. I call her back and she comes r ight away but its something we joke about!
This is also another reason I don't leave them in the car unless I can see them. Like, if I realize I need milk on the way home from the dog park; I'll stop at 7-11 and pay $4 a gallon just because it's a quick in and out and I can see the car from inside. I'd never consider walking into a grocery store. I'd be so heartbroken if someone stole them.
I thought about this last weekend- I left Manny in the car, with the windows down, while I ran into the liquor store. He's adorable, but he barks A LOT at strangers.

I would never have to worry about this with Walter. He's insanely protective of my car for some reason. If anyone even got near the door to open it to steal him, he would bark and growl and look vicious. If they actually opened the door, he would bite them.

YES! You have to have a healthy self esteem to own a Pug. They will got with anybody. I mean, if we take him to a friend's house he usually follows me and wants to sit on my lap but he never gets sad when we leave him somewhere. He gets excited. He never whines for me or anything .

Callie-pug has loyalty to the house. She doesn't care if h and I go on vacation and leave her here with a sitter--in fact, she's liable to ignore us when we get home. This goes on for a few days until she wises up and remembers that I control the food. But she is pissed if we try to leave her with anyone at their house.
I walked up to my car in a parking lot once, and there was a jeep next to my car with no doors/roof with a cute medium sized (40ish lbs) dog I went to say hi to the dog and the dog jumped out of the car and into my arms! I was so afraid someone would come out of the nearby convenience store and think I was stealing their dog! I quickly put the dog back in the jeep.
