So on my way to my OB appointment (which went well BTW) I decided to drop off my glass containers that have been building up. Immediately after doing that I walked past a woman with her little girl and I thought I heard them speaking Spanish. Actually, I had seem them in the Rewe once before and didn't have the nerve to say anything.
This time I stopped her and asked if she was Spanish, how long she'd been here, etc. We had a great chat and it turns out she lives on the street in front of ours with her 2 year old daughter. We exchanged numbers and are planning to meet on Tuesday. I felt a little odd introducing myself to a random woman on the street, but I haven't found anyone in the area that speaks Spanish or English so far so I made myself do it. I don't think I'll regret it!
That's awesome! One of my closest friends in NY is someone who approached me on the street when we were both out with our 1-month old babies. I am so glad she came up to me. I hope this results in a lasting friendship for you!
That makes me feel much better and not creeper at all anna. I hope we become good friends too. It would be so, so nice to have someone right here to talk to and see on a regular basis.

I wish I would walk up to people like that.
DH and I were at Aldi when we heard a young family speaking German. H went up and said something along the lines of "you just can't stay away". We exchanged number but totally freaked them out and never heard from then again. haha

Cool! I am way too shy to do that. It will be great having a friend so close to you. Glad to hear that your apt. went well. Did the Dr. give you an EDD?
