My kid decided to wake up at 5am for mothers day, so here I am, watching sesame street and trying to keep her off the keyboard.
H is in the doghouse since he decided to have a friend over and get ridiculously drunk instead of getting up with the baby for me like he said he would. This is not usual behavior, but naturally he picks mothers day to piss me off on of all days.
Hopefully you all are sleeping in blissfully whilst your husbands and children are whipping up a delicious breakfast to serve you in bed next to a single rose and a signed copy of 50 shades of grey. ;D
I thought Mother's Day was supposed to be last week... so I got all my presents last week.
DH used it as an excuse to get a new blender. He is getting new dresses for Father's day. (I did get new porch furniture and screened gazebo I wanted too)

Happy Mother's Day!
The baby woke up shortly after 6. I spent that half hour of feeding the baby, glaring at my husband because he is unable to lactate. When the 3 year old was eating Cheerios, my husband turned on Disney channel, to which I quickly ordered that my Mother's Day present will be no Disney/squeaky cartoon voices.
DH let me sleep in, as is his habit on weekends anyway, the lovely man, and just returned the carpet cleaner that he rented yesterday to clean the house, and kiddo and i are playing tug with Maggie. i get dinner and Avengers later today. ;D
I got woken up early by SST (looking for grandma, of course), after being promised "Oh honey I'll let you sleep in tomorrow" (which did not happen, naturally) now I have baby crying on my lap and SST hanging all over me while DH is playing around on Facebook. Then later I get to have brunch with my ridiculous mom and my brother's in-laws! Happy mother's day to me!

If you express exasperation that you need help, will your H be all, "Oh, really? I didn't realize..."

My kid woke up once before we even went to bed ourselves, and again at 1 and 4. Maybe he wanted to make sure I take a nap on mother's day?
I just got cards and chocolate - one from the children (addressed to mom/momma - Andrew calls me mom, and the dogs call me momma), and bigT (addressed to breeding partner, and appropriately hilarious).
Once we get everyone dressed and fed we're headed to Santa Cruz for breakfast, and then family mothers day at my aunt's this afternoon.

Slept until 10 and woke up to clean litter boxes!!!!!! CJ (OMG might that be safe?) is still sleeping off prom and Eric (OMG! might that be safe) can't get home today so it's all on her shoulders to please me for the rest of the day

Happy Mother's Day! I slept until 8 (yay!) and now DH is picking up breakfast from our fave breakfast place so I don't have to shower and can just lounge around sipping coffee while the oldest two girls are still asleep.
Later I think I'm going to see The Hunger Games ALL BY MYSELF.
I'm spending my mother's day researching the coxsackie virus because I think I have it :-(

OMG you poor, poor thing. Abby and I had HFMD over Christmas break. She got three little bumps on her butt, a cough and a fever. I had hundreds upon hundreds of painful water blisters on my hands, feet and throat, and my tonsils are now like, permanently swollen from the whole ordeal. I may have to get them taken out soon. Oh and I lost most of my finger and toe nails. Yeah, it really sucks.
We all slept in until about 8:30 this morning, which is great since we're usually up at 6 at the latest. H has been taking care of the kiddo and let me take a nap. The only thing I've done all day is a load of laundry. It's been great!
Well, after being up every 3 hours to feed the baby, I DID get to sleep from 8 until 10am uninterrupted. I did need those extra few hours so that was nice.
DH got me a mani and pedi and my MIL got me a g/c to a clothing store. That was pretty nice I thought
I'm frigging exhausted though. I kinda just wanna have a nap right now....but the little one is going to want to feed shortly. Mark my words!
And here's to my in-laws not saying thoughtless, stupid shits today!
LOL - that should be the rule every day!
Well, I hoped but I knew better. My FIL says, "So, will I be able to say Happy Mothers Day to you this time next year?"
Again, he's clueless and socially awkward so I forgive him (and tbh he wasn't the one I was expecting the comment from). It's acutally getting to the point when you just have to chuckle at the stupidity.

I'm so sorry, 2V. That really sucks...it makes me want to cry for you. Thankfully, I didn't hear that today...
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
