i've not stayed at any of these, but i like the location of the four seasons best. its close to the place we stayed the last time we were there (hotel palomar) and i really liked the location. i also really like kimpton hotels and recommend them highly.
we also stayed at the parc 55, which was very close to the trolley turnaround and a lot of shopping as well.

Loved Hotel Palomar!
I have never stayed at any of those either, but I would pick Four Seasons as well. In my dream world.
Oh man, we stayed in the bridge-to-bridge view room at the Mandarin Oriental and it was phenomenal. Of course, this was a decade ago, so maybe it isn't all that great anymore compared to others.
But it was so awesome at the time. I love San Francisco so much.
I have never stayed at any of these. Too expensive! LOL.
Where did you stay? Anything you'd recommend?
When I'm in SF, I'm usually there for work, so I stay at the hotel aligned with my company. It is nothing special.
When my husband is in SF, he stays at as many Kimpton hotels as he can on his company's dime.
Thus, when we are there for play, we usually have enough points for a free stay at a Kimpton of our choice. The Palomar is lovely, but we are partial to the Haagen-Dazs suite at the Hotel Triton just for the novelty factor. LOL. When we can't get the Palomar or the Haagen-Dazs room, we'll opt for the Monaco. Again, for free.
There are many beautiful hotels in San Fran. I've stayed at the Four Seasons and Mandarin. Both are amazing.
If I had to pick today, I would choose Mandarin because the rooms, service and views are superior. If it were my first time to SF, I would choose Four Seasons because of the location. (and its still really nice)
