fever and birthday parties

I'm like 99% sure the answer is no, but I am going to ask anyway.

W woke up with a fever this morning, 100.3 rectal (so, technically not a fever but I'm counting it as one).  He has been in fine spirits, eating normally, normal stools, no weird rashes or anything.  If he fever leaves today or overnight can we go to a kid's birthday party tomorrow?

Also, it's his first fever.  We had a good run!

He felt warm, and he was.  His normal temperature is around 97.4

Well, if his fever is down tomorrow I would take him. At daycare the rule is 101 for a fever so if he could go to daycare and is acting fine, I bet he isn't sick or contagious.
