Those are very common feelings. My friend committed suicide about 2 and a half years ago and I still get hit with moments of sheer pain of why she didn't just pick up the d*mned phone and called some one. Her funeral had almost the entire Navy Reserve Center (where she served), all of the city Police Department (where she worked), half of the fire department and EMT squads there and the rest of the church was her other friends.
Hugs to you and your friends and the family of the fallen.
So sorry for your loss. We lost a very dear friend to suicide almost exactly one year ago and we still don't understand...we never will. I am happy you reconnected with your friend, though. She was right - life's too short.

I'm so sorry - suicide is so hard to process. I'm sorry it took something like this to bring you and your friend back together. But I'm glad it did. Hugs.

Big giant hugs to you... suicide is such a senseless and difficult thing for everyone involved. I am really glad that you reconnected with your friend... its been clear that you have really missed that relationship. Hang in there.....

Aw, Monterey...
I am so very sorry about the loss of your friend. Suicide is so damned selfish, and all it leaves in its wake is more hurt and pain. I hope you are able to find some peace.
I am also so very glad you have reconnected with your friend. If there is any silver lining, perhaps that is it.
Suicide brings on a whole roller coaster ride of emotions. I remember going from shock, to painful sadness, to anger, back to sadness, etc. Just know that whatever reaction you're having right now is normal. Feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk.
