There have been 2 hour and 40 minute delays for arriving flights into SFO all week according to the FAA website. H and I are flying from Dulles to SFO on Monday morning, we're supposed to leave Dulles at 9 am. Just wondering if anyone's flown into SFO and experienced any long delays - trying to plan accordingly. We'll be checking our flight status probably starting Sunday.
Yes, I flew in and out this week with no delays. I had two colleagues do the same. However, a ton of flights are delayed, so your experience may be different. Just check the status day of, close to your flight time, and act accordingly. Good luck!
I also feel the need to add this disclaimer: even if you check and it says your flight is delayed, flights can leave any time after their original departure estimate with very little notice. Therefore, you should really still go and wait at the airport, just in case, even though it will suck if you're delayed.
They are all mostly delayed by 2-3 hours. When I departed on Tuesday, I arrived at the airport and it said my flight was on time. 15 min before scheduled boarding they enforced a ground stop.
I actually changed my flight home to be earlier tomorrow so I would have one of the first flights in to avoid a delay...my tip for you is to look at what time the planes arrived for your same flight from TODAY and if there was a delay, you should expect one tomorrow as well.
Apparently this will be going on through Saturday.
I just re-read your post...an morning flight out of Dulles on Monday...hmmm, I doubt you're going to face delays (at least any that are being enforced from the crash).
I flew home (to IAD) on Sunday (day after the crash) the airport was a mess. (Based on my experience) Due to the runways they are using they have to use one of the shorter runways which doesn't support the fully fueled larger planes for take off so our direct flight from SFO to IAD had to stop off in Utah to refuel. A 4.5 hour flight took 8.5 hrs. Hopefully this is still not the case.

Thanks for all of the replies. Right now I'm mentally preparing myself to face the possibility of delays and just hoping for the best. All I care about is getting there with enough time to get our rental car and get to Napa to check into our BandB and get to Yountville for our 7 pm reservations at Ad Hoc. I've been looking forward to dinner at Ad Hoc all year!

Random. I was booked on this same flight until something came up yesterday and I had to change it.
They are reopening the closed runway on Sunday, so that should help.
Yes on wed with no delays. Prepare to see the wreckage. It was freaky.
Ugh. I was thinking about that.
They show the news reporters standing there with the wreckage in the background and then you see a plane going by (either ready for takeoff or landing, can't tell) and I can't help but think if I was in the passing plane (especially before take-off) I would get crazy anxiety.
