Ive had a horrible week at work. I was in a meeting where I felt like everyone was against me and our CEO stepped up and defended me. It took all I had not to smile in a smug manner.
I plan to lay out in the pool all weekend. Again.
If it weren't for you ladies, I think I would lose my sanity.
I still have two days of work, including a double (11am-11pm). Ugh.
I want to go to the gym in the morning, but that means I need to get up early. I don't want to go to bed. This is not working out well.
DH and I are going to Montreal in September. We are seeing KT Tunstall while we are there. I am so excited to see her perform again and to explore a new city!
I just mixed up some raw chocolate coconut macaroons. I cannot wait for tomorrow to try them. (They are chilling).
Today my dad & I were driving and the car ahead had a smoker inside. We could smell the smoke and were talking about it. He told me he can also sometimes smell people's farts from other cars. I LOL'd so hard.
I've been getting headaches all week. I can't decide if it's from allergies or my contact lenses. (I'm worried I mixed up L&R lenses).

I am. SO PISSED. I checked my account to make sure I had enough money to cover my car insurance payment tomorrow, only to find out that I'm $25 short. Why? Because my bank did a phantom transfer. I closed out my savings account back in June and I had the assurance that my transfers from checking to savings would stop, and yet here I am, with $25 of MY MONEY missing into thin air. Because of this $25 "theft", I ended up overdrafting. So the next time I put money in the bank (to pay for my car insurance), they helped themselves to the overdraft fees. I'm livid because the day I put the money in the bank was the day the overdraft occurred. I stood in front of the teller, who didn't even bother to let me know I was overdrafted, despite looking at my account information.
Heads are going to roll tomorrow. I can't believe this is happening. My car insurance is due RIGHT NOW and I don't have the funds to pay it. I expect that $25 to be back in my account plus the overdraft fees that they stole from me.
I'm watching Beyond Scared Straight and I keep going back and forth between "These kids need help" and "Please let those inmates at them. PLEASE."
Totally scripted. I was contacted by the producers to find them kids that could fit into certain criteria since We already run a similar program. They wanted kids with very specific attributes like could cry easy on demand, willing to talk back to authority, looks young, etc. it's not real.

Also, say you went to the bank on the 6th and realized on the 7th that your money was swept from one account to another; that teller, unless specifically asked to look into it, probably was not on the transfer screen and had no idea a transfer was set up to sweep. That sweep would have also happened that evening, a time when the teller would not have noticed it because they weren't at work.

A lot of that stuff is handled by a department not at the bank. A lot of sweeps and transfers are manually imputed and handled; it could be that no one has alerted the back office that the account needs to close at a zero balance.
Do you have a maintenance fee on the account? Like, if there is under a certain amount of money you get charged a monthly or daily fee? If so, how did you close out the savings account? Did you have it put into checking or did you withdraw the money? Because a bank will sweep the money over if the account is negative, in order to bring it positive, so that they can close it.
Was the last amount $25 as well? Or a different amount?
I would speak to the branch manager and let them know what is going on and that you were under the impression that as of the end of june, you could no longer have that account and no money would be transferred out of checking.

Oh yes, we made up. He said he overreacted. My H has been in management practically his entire career and in his case, he would never be out with a female rep, having drinks, after hours, because that could be an HR time bomb waiting to happen. My company's culture is a lot more relaxed, but I did see his point. He also he felt like I was backing my boss instead of him, basically not being on his side. I wasn't really "backing" anyone, I was just trying to let him know this wasn't some sort of threatening situation. But yes, he reaffirmed he totally trusts me and overreacted. So we're good
