if i've taken a zantac, can i also take tums?

the OB said to take zantac to help me with my coughing (since apparently i have acid reflux and am aspirating stomach fluid.  pregnancy is glorious!).

can i also take a tums for momentary relief?

Yep.  I have a hernia that causes heartburn, and my doc said to keep using Tums until the zantac kicks in.

aww.  i'm not holding out hope, here.  i had heartburn out the yin yang when i was pregnant with L, and she was bald until she was 18 months old.

I always did. I hope it goes away for you soon. I had horrible 24/7 heartburn with both kids and was basically desperate at all times to make it stop. Try the Tums Smoothies. Easier on the teeth than regular tums, and the minty ones kind of calm the immediate problem really well.
