UK Ladies - Bar for our home?

I'm hoping some of the UK ladies will have some ideas or recommendations for me.

My husband and I REALLY want a home bar in our living room. We have found some in the US from sites like Overstock.com or even Amazon, but they all specifically say that they cannot be shipped internationally or to APO (we're military). My parents have offered to let us have one shipped to their house in the states, then they will try to mail it to our APO address, but I don't know if this is possible -- and if it IS it would be super-expensive (like, as much as the bar itself costs).

We've looked at some UK retailers, including Amazon.co.uk, and the only stuff we can find is either A) REALLY ugly (like something from the 80s), B) Super-expensive, or C) both. We wouldn't mind paying up to about 750 pounds for something nice if we could find something, but so far there's NOTHING.

Does anyone have any recommendations for UK retailers who sell attractive home bars in our price range? Or any ways to get one from the US sent over here?

You could probably have someone build one for about £750. I'd check into carpenters before buying a pre-made one.

Hmmm, interesting. We thought about trying to find plans to build our own....but with one semester of high school wood shop between us we decided that might not be the best idea:-) Good suggestion!
