I am a TRUE HYPOCRITE when it comes to abortion. I don't believe in it. I do feel that it is taking the life of another. However, if my severely disabled daughter were to be raped and got pregnant, I would not hesitate to get her an abortion. I do believe that if the mothers life is at risk, abortion would be appropriate. Sad, but appropriate. In all other scenarios that my little brain could imagine, I would suggest adoption.
That thinking assumes that abortion is an alternative to parenting. It's not. It's an alternative to pregnancy. If a woman does not want to be pregnant she should not be forced to. Having been through three pregnancies, including one during which I was on strict bedrest for 2 months, I would never force that on another person. I still haven't recovered physically 5 months later and the baby and I were in danger. Not to mention that if I hadn't been a SAHM I could have lost my job for being out that long (I've mostly worked for small companies that do not qualify for FMLA protection).

When I actually see an ultrasound of a fetus purposely masturbating, and he also gives the wand a thumbs-up, I may change my mind. Or when I see the ultrasound of the cervix yelling NOPE and spitting rapist sperm back out.
