Tomorrow we are having a closet system installed, Habitat for Humanity is coming to pick up the cabinets we took out of the main bathroom, an insulation guy is coming to meet our contractor and give a bid, and the guy who has been clearing our yard for the past two days is coming back to finish up and take away the yard waste.
The yard guy tells me that he has a couple of jobs in the morning, but he will be back after lunch. The contractor sent a text saying that the insulation guy wants to come at 1:30...will I be home. The closet installers called and said they will be here between 1:00 and 2:00. All I could do was laugh when the HFH guy called and said that they would be here in the early afternoon.
Just think how satisfying it will be when they all leave at the end of the day, and you've got the cabinets and yard waste gone, and the closet system ready to go. I love being able to SEE progress!
We can actually see the ground outside and have a better idea of the space we have and the potentialthere, but I'm really looking forward to emptying some boxes, putting away clothes and being able to actually see the floor in our closet and our room.
The closet guy showed up early. Not bad, but I was out running errands and should have had another hour and a half before they came.
The yard guy showed up and started loading brush into his trailer, and the skies opened up and it rained harder than I have seen it rain. He said that it did that to him when he went to unload it wherever he gets rid of yard waste, too.
The GC and the insulation guy were here, so we should have a bid on the studio and the rest of the house too.
Then closet guys were just getting ready to leave when Habitat showed up and boxed them in. Those guys left, then UPS showed up. GC left and it was just his son in law priming the walls in the main bath, then the yard guy came back and Fedex showed up with the faucet for my sink in the studio. The yard guy couldn't believe how many people come and go around here....he said it would make him crazy.lol
Everyone finally left, and the empty driveway and lack of doors opening and closing, (and dogs barking at doors opening and closing) is nice.lol
