1. J secretly joined a CSA, the first delivery came this morning, I was so surprised.
2. We got a cantaloupe, heirloom tomatoes, plums, a cucumber, green beans, broccoli, celery, and onions in the box this week.
3. A's attitude and behavior have been so good this summer that she earned her own pet, she chose a leopard gecko, it's name is Echo.
4. No more therapies for Owl! We had our goodbye party with her team on Tuesday, I feel so free.
5. We decided to put the girls on J's insurance when we adopt them, this means Owl will get a new neurologist, I'm beyond happy about that.
6. When Apple says "let's go", it sounds more like "asshole". Teehee.
7. J and BIL made a zipline for the kids yesterday, it's a huge hit..
8. Iz hasn't had the best attitude or behavior lately and J is at her wits end with her.
9. I spilled a giant bottle of Mr. Clean under the sink yesterday, the smell was so strong that I had to open the windows and doors to let the house air out.
10. The apples on our tree are huge this year but it doesn't look like we are going to get nearly as many pomegranates as we had last year.
1. Had the kids' 7y well child today. All is well, but we saw a doc we'd not seen before and she talked to me the whole time, asked about their "dad" (even though we said they had 2 moms), and the nurses basically gave no eye contact to L. L left pissed and hurt. I think we are going to write a letter to the practice and/or we are going to switch to the practice where I work (not convenient, at all.)
2. It is hot as $hit here. A storm is supposed to come through and cool things off next week. Thank goodness.
3. I have a crazy amount of work to do and need to leave 30m early to get the kids. Sigh.

1. Looking forward to a weekend camping trip with my girls!
2. A's work situation is not getting any better. There are some other avenues to explore but at this point she's totally frustrated.
3. Grocery shopping and lots of packing and organizing to do tonight!
4. I hope E is in a more rested state than she's been earlier in the week. We've had some cranky/teary nights.
5. We had a pharma rep come in this morning to talk about their drug which is made from a compound that comes from sea slugs (that they are now making synthetically). How random is that?
6. I keep checking back for more kershnic updates. Fingers crossed!
7. A and I had haircut/date night last night. I (heart) our date nights.
8. Plus the stylist does A's hair super cute and I'm like yum.
9. Work is getting busier, I'm glad but need to get more organized.
10. I made oven roasted broccoli for dinner Tuesday night and E LOVED it. Yeah! We're going to try it over the campfire this weekend.

I think we go to the same practice...now I am curious. We have seen so many doctors there and have never been treated like that. I wonder if they got a new doc.

Sorry you had to go through that!
No, it is someone who has been there awhile, but we've never seen (really, the only time we go is for their annual check ups and we've had those with the same doc for the past several years.) But L is pretty annoyed.

1. Work has been hell.
2. The weather has been hell. We have a heat advisory until 9pm.
3. I'm supposed to have a group run tonight, but frankly I don't think I can take mid-90s with a heat index in the 100s in the blazing sun, and the humidity makes it hard to breathe. I think I'm going to skip out and get my run in on my treadmill. My musty basement sounds so much better than outside right now. Plus now there's a thunderstorm warning to the north, right where I'd be running.
4. I'm stressing about money.
5. Okay, SERIOUSLY, coworker? I should not have to explain to you how to do things that are YOUR JOB, not mine, when you've been here for SIX YEARS.
6. I love where I work. I love where I work. I love where I work...
7. Damn it, want to get out of here on time for once.
8. Ugh, I just remembered that I have to go to a meeting downtown tomorrow morning. At least I remembered.
1. It's been a long time since I've done one of these. 2. All three kiddos are doing well. I love them more and more everyday. 3. Baby S has a permanency hearing coming up, and the girls' FCM requested that their next placement review be changed to a permanency hearing! I can't wait to find out. 4. Girls' bio mom is pregnant. K wants to take the baby and I don't. 5. We have three already, I want 4 total, and I still want a bio baby. 6. I'm ready to start TTC right now, but K doesn't. All she thinks about was the heartache of watching me get BFNs. I'm not ready to give up! We hardly even started trying meds! There's so much more to try. 7. We're meeting with a lawyer in a couple weeks to do POAs and hopefully adoptions. 8. We have a play date this afternoon that I'm excited about, but the heat index is supposed to be in the hundreds, so I'm gonna have to cancel. I miss adults. 9. We're going to move to a MUCH larger house next spring and I cannot even handle how excited I am. Five people, two 100 lb dogs, and all the kids' stuff in 1000 sq. feet! Yikes. Not cool. 10. Miss you girls! I'll try to come back more often.
1. Somehow I am doing worse at posting now that I am on vacation. 2. Ella is a really good swimmer and I am so glad I signed her up for swim class. 3. I am dreading going back to work in the fall. 4. I have heat stroke. Not really but I feel like it. 5. I am 40 6. My kid is so cute I loveher 7. I need to research private swim lessons. I don't want Ella to stop after the summer. 8. Something is happening for my birthday tomorrow. I am excited. 9. I had a giant lobster for dinner last night 10. I could live off lobster
1. My new job is still amazing. 2. Monday we go back to neurology to schedule Jacobs scans. 3. Fingers crossed we can get on the schedule quickly and everything comes back fine so I can sleep soundly again. 4. The boys are almost 6 months... Holy moly... Where did it go?!?!? 5. The storms we have had all week are crazy but have kept the temps in the low 90's. 6. The low 90's are amazing for us! 7. I thought M told me to pay a certain medical bill from delivery off, so I did. Oops I totally paid the wrong bill which was twice as much. No eating out for us for a while. 8. Our dog had surgery and is doing so well. She is healing so nicely. 9. I am on a sandwich kick which for me is two pieces of bread and a slice of ham. No clue but its so good. 10. I know it's Friday but I still wanted to play.
1. I'm having 45 second contractions 2.5 min apart and have been for the last oh... 45 min? I hope I'm not in labor. K is umpiring until 730 and is an hour away, with no phone. That would suck.
2. I'm blaming the contractions on the 105 degree heat, but truth be told, I haven't stepped foot outside (except to go to air conditioned Target around 1pm) my well air'd home. It's too chilly for even a tank top... so I'm not sure the heat is causing these.
3. annnd.. Another one.
4. If I go into labor alone, I'm bringing you guys with me.
5. N has a stomach bug, poor baby. His bottom is so raw, it bled. It went from perfect to sore and raw in an hour flat. 7 poops will do that to you No wonder he's been so irritable all day.
6. He's napping which doesn't bode well for the night time, but what can you do.
7. We bought a freezer chest for the basement and went 'wild' in the grocery store yesterday, stocking it. We ordered take out nearly every night for 2 weeks, after N was born. This time, we're ready. I'm going to start cooking once this heat wave is over. To say I'm excited about having a second freezer, is an understatement. Oh old age, what have you done to me?
8. Anyone have awesome freezer recipes? Awesome as in my wife won't eat anything from the freezer so it has to absolutely kick ass. I'm making lasagna, chicken broccoli alfredo, cutting up chicken (and freezing it) for stir fry, buffalo wings, etc. (We don't eat chicken bigger than stir fry size) and am making hamburger patties and lots of soup. I can't think of anything else she will eat..
9. I also bought a million paper products. The environmentalist in me is cringing and ashamed but dear god, washing dishes with a newborn was more difficult than splitting atoms. So paper it is.
10. My house is a disaster. We have to stop doing projects and start organizing. I'll be so embarrassed if someone has to come pick up/watch N while it's in this condition. But we've made awesome progress. The laundry room is finished. I converted a coat closet to a pantry, moved 2 bedrooms, reorganized the basement and shed... now to actually finish all the rooms and put everything away... tic toc (3 more contractions...)
Bonus:
11. I scheduled my c-section yesterday. My OB won't let me go over 41 weeks, fearing uterine rupture and I wanted to be sure I got the OB we like and trust to cut me open. It's putting a fire under my ass to get this baby moving on time. I'm upping my acupuncture appointments in hopes that everything will be ready on time. I really, really hope I get a chance at a VBAC.
12. I can't wait to meet this baby. I keep going back and forth, between thinking it's a boy and a girl. With N I knew in my heart, no doubt. It's weird to be so uncertain this time. My belly, weight, & pregnancy say all boy. I haven't gained a pound anywhere but my stomach, I weigh the same exact weight (to the .5 pound!) as I did when I was pregnant with N, and I am having the same exact pregnancy, almost to the letter. But something inside says 'not so fast'. I would be absolutely floored if it were a girl, though.. the pregnancies are so identical. It has to be a boy...
