Damn, all of you are lucky. Mine hurt pretty bad. I yelped and teared up a little. On the bright side, it was quick and only hurt in that exact moment--There wasn't any lingering pain. I will note that I don't have children and it's my understanding that insertion/removal are MUCH easier when you've had kids. So there's that.

I have zero kids and had a Paragard. Removal felt like nothing. I didn't even know the doc had pulled it out. She told me we were done and I didn't believe her. Then she put the used IUD in my hand. I believed her then.
