About 3 weeks ago, our lab chewed through the extension cord on our deep freezer. DH grabbed another cord that we had lying around and replaced it. Last night he came and told me he opened the deep freeze and realized that cord didn't work.
You guys our deep freeze sits outside on our back deck. It has been 100 degrees the past couple of weeks. DH said he just opened it and shut it immediately when he saw that it was hot. It's going to be bad isn't it.....

Oh man, I am scared for you. That is going to stink! Send your H out there to clean it up. His mistake, he gets to deal with the (stinky) consequences!

DO NOT GO NEAR THAT THING. Seriously, this kind of shit is what husbands are made for. You just stay inside, away from the windows, and give him hair pats after he's cleaned that sucker out (and had a decontamination shower).

Do nothing as yet. Plug in the freezer and get it to work again, so that it'll freeze up most of the stuff in there. Once it's frozen, then start cleanup, it will not smell nearly so bad and the two of you will not be puking for days, and you won't have the drippings all over your deck.

Ours went out last summer. H came home after we were gone for over a week and the house smelled. Even though I was dealing with his grandfathers estate and his grandmother, I was much happier knowing I didn't have to touch it

Take it straight to the dump!
We had a deep freeze that something similar went down with (ours was the outlet went bad and we didn't know for about 3 weeks) and OMG. We tried to clean it. A lot. We ended up having to throw it away.
