Every time we refinance our house the phone rings

With a local realtor asking "Are you looking to sell your house? I have a buyer!" Sometimes public records are annoying. I realise our house is in a prime location, but still...go away.

We have done it twice in the past 2 years. Our rate is pretty sweet right now, so we're not looking to do it again anytime soon. It just drives me crazy that the phone goes off the hook with realtors for about a month after the deal closes grrrr

I don't understand how that would make realtors think you want to sell your house - if you record a new mortgage yeah it's public record, but that means it's all done. Or do a lot of people refi before they sell?

IDK, it makes me think there's something wonky in the records. This house has been in our family for over 50 years with many different names, so we get all sorts of people calling and odd pieces of mail here.

Interesting. Maybe they get notified if a title search is done, but that would be weird.
