Ezekial bread- talk to me about it

I've seen it at my local grocer and Whole Foods. Can someone explain to me why this bread is so great (and so expensive)?

Is it worth it?

The grains are sprouted, which makes any nutrients in the grains more bioavailable.

I don't eat grains, so I can't attest to whether or not it's worth it.

Worth what? Eating? Sure. If you already have a bread you like, this one won't do magic tricks or anything. I think it's considered "clean" by Tosca Reno, one of the leading experts in clean eating.

It's sprouted so nutrition is more readily available. Also, the mix of ancient grains they use (which thankfully doesn't contain quinoa) is a complete protein source, similar to eggs or milk. They're non-GMO, which some people find important. They also don't use flour, so it's a more nutritionally dense product.

We eat it. I love their cereals - they're similar to grape nuts, but honestly, better tasting.

I really like it. It's pretty much expensive bread, but it does taste good.

I find it to be way more filling than regular bread. And it keeps for quite a while in the fridge, which is nice too.

We recently started eating them for breakfast. My BFF's trainer recommended them to her....she's lost 77 lbs, so I like his tips But I really do like them better than say, Arnold muffins, which are what I used to buy.

My husband is trying to lose about 20 lbs, so I'm trying to get him to eat healthier. He's switched from a huge bowl of cinnamon toast crunch to an Ezekial muffin + egg + cheese. He likes it a lot.

It's very low on the glycemic index, which I love. I've only had the regular version, but I like it a lot! I will say that I definitely prefer it toasted.

I eat it toasted with reduced fat cream cheese slathered on top for breakfast- yummy! I've noticed it doesn't make my tummy 'puffy' after I eat it. I think it's only $3.99 at the store and lasts forever since you keep it in the freezer. Try it!
