Wish I could get this damn suitcase packed...I have enough trouble packing for a week, so 16 nights is making me downright nauseous.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I miss TN's Travel board - at least we were somewhat active! Both TN and this board seem to be much quieter. Luckily, I was able to save some threads during the planning process and got lots of great ideas from everyone.
Will definitely report when we get back - off to Venice, Florence, Montepulciano, Positano, and Rome!
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
Have fun!! My family took a Europe vacation back when I was in high school, and have great memories from Italy. The best gelato!
On a side note, what travel suitcases are you bringing with you since you're hitting up so many cities? DH and I are thinking of going to Europe in 2013 or 2014....
Sounds fantastic! We haven't made it to Italy yet, but I'm hoping we can get there in 2014. We already have our travel plans for this year and next year, so 2014 it is!
Totally jealous! Did you book this trip instead of some of the Caribbean trips we were talking about (Caves, etc) or is this trip in addition to that one?
ETA: I realize you leave today, so you'll probably never see this.
Have fun! It's hotter than heck (if I'm not too late). I was in Venice this weekend and it was nice, but warming up. Rome was insanely hot. Naples is hot but not so bad (80s, so the same in Positano).
Anyway, have fun! That's a great itinerary! Montepulciano is one of my favorite towns in Tuscany! If you like wine, try Boscarelli (vino nobile di montepulciano, of course .
