DH is being a father's day diva

And it's not even Sunday yet. He keeps saying he's going to sleep into 10 and wants a 2 hour massage (from me) before we go out to brunch.

I know he's kidding but it's making me stabby.

I asked H what he wanted, and he said "sleep."

I was like wtf? he gets to sleep in until 9 am EVERY sunday.

I am also on Baby Duty three nights a week (TH, FR, Sat) which means he can get uninterrupted sleep those nights.

ETA: I should mention that I work at 6am virtually every M-F, and I get up between 6 & 7 with E on the weekends. If I am lucky, I can sleep until 8am, but that is RARE.

I get to sleep in when I take a day off from work. I've been taking 1 day off a month to spend with E.

I completely understand about the sleep thing. I SAH, so I'm in charge of DS from between 5-6 (when he wakes up) and 7-8 (usual bedtime). I do all the meals, diaper changes, baths, and bedtime (he nurses to sleep). I also do all the nighttime wakeups, which has been a lot lately.

I ask, maybe once a month, for DH to get up early after I've nursed him after waking so I can go back to bed. And he grumbles about that.

I don't want to hear that he's tired and all he wants to do is sit on the couch and watch golf.

And he wonders why I'm asleep on the couch by 9 each night.

At least H has baby duty 4 nights a week so I can get uninterrupted sleep.

Does your H do any of the baby duties on the weekends?

When I was on maternity leave, H would help out the most on weekends, and watch the baby from 8pm - midnight M-F so I could get 4 continuous hours of sleep.

DH was actually awesome yesterday. We had a rough night Saturday so he got up early on Sunday with C and I got to go back to bed.

And after a super fun and busy day, C slept thru the night last night! Hopefully it's the start of a new trend.
