We have one of those $20 IKEA rugs in the foyer right now and I want to replace it. I have a limited budget and have narrowed it down to two rugs that I like.
Here's the foyer. The rug needs to be vacuumed, but I'm waiting until H gets home because he's just going to drag mud in. Eventually the walls are going to be painted a lighter yellow instead of the booger yellow-green the previous owner put up.
I really like the look of the natural one more than the gray one, but I would worry it will be much harder to keep clean.
This.
I tend to match entry rugs to the color of the floor, so that they blend in and don't detract, but I would make an exception if I had an actual entry, and/or a spectacular rug.

Well, I called Ballard to ask a question about the gray because it looks almost black on my screen. The guy was so rude I decided I'm not going to give them my business.
BUT, looking further into the natural rug, I'm not sure it will be a good fit for my foyer because of its thickness. The current rug is very thin and my door is just able to open easily. I guess it's back to the drawing board...Although I do need a rug for the dining room.
I have an indoor outdoor rug I bought on sale and with coupons at Kohls and its awesome. It's natural colors in a geo pattern and wears really well. We have hickory floors and it blends with the floors but still looks pretty. We have a dog and kids so I like how it's washable and it wasn't expensive. Btw, love your bench. Looking for something like that for our entry. Did you make it? Buy it? Love it.
