When I was in London recently, I saw someone grab a pedestrian who was texting right as she was about to step off the curb and walk into traffic.

And really, if any town needs this ban, it's Fort Lee. They also need a ban on shitty drivers. That place is a fucking nightmare.

If you're dumb enough to walk into traffic without looking because you're texting, well, maybe you get what you deserve. I had to grab someone the the other day who was about to walk onto Mass Ave without looking against the light.

Is it just texting? Because there's a lot of stuff I do on my phone that's not texting while I'm walking. However, I want to live enough to not do it while I'm in the street.

Yeah, I text/tweet/whatever while walking all the time. I also get around almost exclusively via walking these days. But I always stop when I get to a street, cross the street, and start again.
