Tell me about your Washer/Dryer

No sooner did I read the vacuum post, did mine die, and I went out and got the Shark Navigator. LOVE IT.

Now, MIL and FIL have given us some money to spend on new appliances. Washer/dryer is at the top of the list...

I know I want a top loader. Anybody have one that they love?

I just got a new set when we moved. I got a Whirlpool Cabrio set and the washer has 4.6 cu ft capacity. It's amazing! Our laundry is on our bedroom level and it is so quiet (it has sound reduction and auto-balances). It senses load size and fills water accordingly, and has an "eco boost" function that changes settings to make it more energy efficient. The dryer has the same.
