i really like this layout. i love that the guest wing in separate - both for the possibility of using airbnb (?) and for your own guests to have a little more privacy.
and i like that your little work station is in it's own little hall nook and that there is a porch at the end of the house by your bedroom. it makes that space look intentional and less like "i needed a desk so i put it in the hallway".
will you have more than one opening to your deck or just keep the one by the dining room? even though we're just in an apartment we have huge deck on our house and it annoys me that i have to walk the extra 6 feet to the living room to go out the door. i wish the whole wall would open up in the summer.
I know I am not a regular, but I commented on your last layout, so I wanted to say that I like this one much better-even though you didn't add another bathroom I can really see this as a functional and beautiful space.
Oh this one is really great. I like the layout of the bath much better. And the work space is great too. I think if you plan on doing the air B&B, the guest room area is nice on the other side of your house too. Next time you go to the site take a pic of what the view will be like, I bet it's going to be fantastic.

Thanks ladies! Whoops on only showing 2 doors! We are really hoping to be able to open that whole wall up as much as possible. With one or two huge siding doors or just 4 pairs of sliders? Not sure yet what will we will get.
I was just telling DH that we need to go there some night and check out the view.
I didn't see the last one, but I love this. Love the great room and the fact that the guest area is on the other end of the house. Is the family room going to be just a wall of windows? Beautiful.
Like this one better for sure! So the bedrooms - are those windows on the upper half, all the way across?
What are you going to do for window treatments throughout? Any windows on the back wall?
Right now that is just a shadow, but I'm thinking in the girls sleeping rooms we might just do some high (but egress-safe?) windows because the house faces west. We will likely get blackout roller shades for any "windows" like that.
For the big glass areas we will do big shade curtains on a recessed track.
Yes, we want windows on the back wall, but not sure were yet. Clerestory? larger? All needs to be flushed out.
I would put clerestory windows in the bedrooms. I love that you get light in the room, but the windows don't impact your use of wall space.
ETA: My other thought would be to put tall, narrow-ish windows in the bedrooms rooms, clerestory on the bck wall. It would give the right look without taking up a lot of wall space, and still allow for conformity to egress codes.
I like this layout better. This bathroom layout is much more spacious and usable by multiple people than the old one. I also like the desk area and the deck on the back. It makes your whole yard more accessible.
Since you have a nice view on the glass wall I'd want to be able to see out in the master bedroom and playroom. I really don't like rooms where I can't see out of. They feel closed in and prison like to me.
What are the deep cabinets behind the girls and guest beds? How do you use and access them?
I know you're going for a certain look but I'd personally want to turn a portion of that cabinet wall into countertop space behind the kitchen. You have almost no countertop space. What is behind that wall a fridge(the deeper box?), then a sink, then a DW? That gives you only one base cabinet and the island for countertop space. Or maybe I'm not reading this right and some of the back wall is countertop...

I think that porch near the study nook/master is a great idea.
I didn't see all the previous ones, but this layout is great b/c the guest area is separate and can be turned into something else if needed. I hope you figure out a way to do that wall of windows that opens. That's a goal at our house also, but just from a back sunroom area to a deck that steps down.
I love that you are building a house that is so custom and a nod to MCM.
Is the roofline sloped one direction? I would maybe suggest something like these b/c then one side feels "vaulted" and looks so open, but I don't know if that increases costs a lot.
