New bedding-I should wash it right?

I bought new bedding for our new bed, which will be delivered this week. I haven't taken it out of the package yet, but i am guessing it all (Euro shams, duvet cover, bedskirt, etc.) should be washed. What do you think?

Can it even be washed? Many bedding sets are dry clean only.

I have a ton of allergies so anything that touches my skin must be washed. Follow the tag directions and wash the set or have it dry cleaned.

I would wash the sheets and the pillowcases. I didn't wash our bed skirt or our comforter. That stuff doesn't touch us when we sleep anyway.

I am sorry, I forgot to mention that the bedding is washable, except for the decorative king shams and the coverlet. Thanks for the replies. I figured they should be washed, but I probably won't wash the bed skirt.

I wash everything that my skin touches and even then I wash most stuff that says not to.
