I just finished my recovery week and will be upping my running mileage again -- 15 miles this week: Tu - 5, Th - 4, Su - 6. I've decided on the Poulsbo Half Marathon as a goal race October 13th. I'm not sure if I'll race again before then. No real accomplishments to report this week.
I love 90s dance music to workout to (Jock Jams type stuff) and also like anything by the Black Eyed Peas.

Strength training and cardio at the gym this week. I'm trying to add in abs but I keep running out of time.
I'm off Tuesday and Thursday because Dh has nighttime commitments that keep me stuck at home.
I've been listening to the Kanye West pandora station and it's a mix of him, Jay-Z, Biggie and Tupac mostly. I clearly like rap, lol. But I'm getting sick of it so I want to branch out but I don't know where to go from there.

Fitness plan...Last week I did a total of 37.5 miles (4x running, 2x biking), so I'm pretty happy with that. I took off yesterday and today, and plan to run 3-4x and bike 1-2x, for a total of 5 days. I'd like to increase my mileage on at least one run to 6 miles (my usual is 4 miles).
Accomplishments/completed races...I did the Tough Mudder on Saturday. It was a 12 mile course with 16 obstacles (there were about 4 small obstacles thrown in as well). It took my team 3 hours to complete, but we had an amazing time.
My favorite workout music is rap/hip hop, or dance/club remixes. I just added a few Pandora stations that I pinned on Pinterest; they were recommended for working out: PopFitness Radio, Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout, Rap Strength Training, and Remix Radio.

My plan for the week is planning to get back in a regular routine again! My goal is to do 3 early morning spin classes and walk a few nights too. Early mornings are kicking my ass since E isn't s ml keeping well lately!
I like a variety of fast, peppy songs and dance music when exercising...something with a catchy beat!

Still trying to get through my 30 day shred - it's taken me over 1 1/2 months to get through the first 15 days. This does not bode well for me and my quest to do the insanity workout once I'm done with this, however I do feel like I am getting stronger and doing better each time. I just can't get a workout in every single day. Then on the weekends, I do other stuff but not 30DS.
Anyway - I want to get in at least 6 times this week and the next two weeks, then I'll be done and be able to move onto insanity!
For me, sometimes I like more "relaxing" music when I run, like DMB or Jack Johnson - helps me to get into a happy place or something. Other times I need more pop or rap. Totally depends on my mood!

I haven't had a chance to really run or do the Shred lately. I've just been biking to work, which is nice and all, but I feel like it's not really doing it for me. I need to get back to doing the Shred every day; it totally helps with my weird back pain apparently.
I just picked up my fitbit that I won so it's on, starting tomorrow because today I have too many work meetings and I'm tired.
so my plan is to work out weds/thurs/fri at lunch and ride my bike saturday or sunday. Also maybe try a little jog after work with her in the stroller, haven't jogged in several weeks.
I did one day of C210K this week, which is better than no days. I started wearing the fitbit, which is definitely motivating me to walk more. Now that I'm KU I need to start yoga & pilates again, since it really saved me last time. And I'm finally back on track with MFP. So no structured program, really, but I feel I'm getting back on track!
I don't listen to music while I work out, but I should. My phone deleted all my music and I haven't gotten around to re-downloading it.

I figured you'd decide to bike to work. How is the ride? Besides not enough torture . Did you come back and post about it after having done it and I missed it or were you keeping mum?

This week just chillin' before officially starting 1/2 marathon training on the 4th.So doing some easy running and family runs with the BOB.
I ran a 5k last week with some co-workers and it was fun. I finished in 24:2X and missed my 5k PR that I set when I was 6 weeks pregnant by 8 seconds. Bummer dude. Oh well, I was in really good shape when I ran that pregnant 5k.
The weather has been amazing here for running. I ran in 58 degrees and rain on Saturday - not normal for July at all.
Music: for long runs I usually listen to entire albums and pick something like Lana Del Rey, The Constellations, The Neighbourhood or Cold War Kids. For shorter runs or lifting I like more upbeat stuff like Girl Talk, Awolnation or Sleigh Bells.
I'm planning on getting 4 days of running in this week. Sunday I ran 6 miles and Monday I ran 4 miles. Wednesday and Friday I plan on 5-6 miles each. I'm working an 8 day stretch so this is going to suck.
I have a 5k night run coming up on August 17th. That will be fun. And I'm going to run a half marathon in September.
Music - all depressing and angry stuff. If I'm on the treadmill at home I watch Netflix. Right now I'm working my way through season 1 of The Killing.
I went for a jog after she went to bed. This fit bit is already "working"! Even though I only started using it halfway through the day I simply couldn't accept the paltry number of steps for today.
Just two miles and I walked a little, oh well. Better than nothing...
I logged 50 miles at the gym for mid-June through mid-July and then hurt my foot so I've been sitting last week out and I think I will start going again this weekend. It's really hard not to go bc I got addicted (and therefore overdid it!) so I am walking, etc. My Mom told me that she thought I lost some weight (in my face esp) and I feel better but the scale is still saying the same weight. Food-wise I am trying to cut down on eating past 8-9pm bc that is my downfall, and have some success. I am also trying to eat a ton of veggies (which is easy bc I love veggies.) Yay!

I think I wrote about it. It is really nice, actually. It's mostly downhill, so the 9 miles only takes me about 45 minutes. I usually take the train home, though, because it's obviously uphill the other way. But this week, as I learned yesterday, the train isn't running, just a bus. And it's a real PITA to take the bike in the bus, because there's no extra space for it. I did it yesterday, but it sucked. So today I am mentally preparing myself to ride home. Uphill. For 9 miles.
I am sucking at exercise this week (and for the past couple to be honest), and feeling super down on myself because of it. E is sleeping like shit! For example, last night he was up from 2:30 until 4:30, and would cry hysterically if I tried to lay him down. Being up like this during the night is making it next to impossible for me to workout in the mornings. I am so tired and feel like I have no energy! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!! Something has got to give b/c I am getting mad at myself and frustrated for not exercising.

Hugs, Mama! Don't beat yourself up, your body needs sleep too! I hope E starts sleeping better again soon but don't feel bad about just trying to survive this (hopefully very short) phase.

Barf.
Just think how sexy your butt will look after all that hill climbing! It's like doing tons of squats and lunges, but more scenic than a gym/your living room.
DH is training for a triathlon and this past weekend his workout was "hill repeats" which basically means finding the longest, steepest hill he could find and climbing it repeatedly on his bike for 90 minutes. He's crazy.
