Anyone watch? I was pretty disgusted with Kody, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn for all the pressure they put on Meri to try IVF and go for another baby. While they were on vacation, Kody insists that he "needs answers" on the whole IVF thing.. Poor Meri basically tells him that she feels too old at this point in life to have another baby and the thought of going through IVF again overwhelms her. Kody says he will support her either way, (IMO his facial expression kind of says something different), then the camera cuts to the other three wives sitting there on the couch saying "I think basically, inside, Meri wants to do IVF and wants another baby." WTF, is no one listening?
Why would Meri leave? She is the only one who is legally married to Kody, lol.
I agree they all need to read between the lines and see that she doesn't want to do IVF. I think they were wrong to "give her a choice" if she wasn't the one who was clamoring for it. Not all fertility issues can be solved through surrogacy and I can't imagine a 42 year olds eggs are that great for doing IVF anyway.
I'm pretty board with this season - the house thing is a flop, the IVF thing is a flop, they ask them the same 5 questions every show.
I had a question about last week's episode though - why didn't Chrstine's oldest 2 (Aspyn and something) go on the trip back to Utah?
I just finally watched the last episode because I was on vacation. I think Meri does kind of want another child. But I think she doesn't want to do it througH IVF or a surrogate. I think that is why she is so torn. She knows she doesn't really have any other option, no other way to have another. But she isn't quite to the point of being ready to let go of the idea.
I think the family dynamic will be different when Mariah is gone. Right now, Meri has her daughter to occupy her time when Kody isn't around/with other wives. What will she do to keep busy once Mariah is gone? Speaking of which, does Meri have a job (other than the businesses they are trying to open?) I would think she would have the easiest time finding a full time job, being that her only child is a teenager and doesn't need constant attention. They have got to need the money, and the benefits. Do they even have insurance for the kids?
