Whatever foundation I'm using now is not working. No matter what kind I use it seems to be way too thick. I've been mixing foundation and moisturizer in a medicine cup and using that for the past few days.
Would a tinted moisturizer work better? I have clear skin but I have an uneven skin tone, it's a little red on my nose and cheeks.
I feel like powder foundation comes off so quickly though! Does this one last a long time? I feel like my face eats powder within 2 hours.
I use a primer, then brush on a little mineral veil for additional oil control, then the foundation, and finally set it with more mineral veil. Lasts all day, never comes off until I wash it off!! I have oily skin too, so I will blot about once a day (now that I'm using MOM I only have to blot once). Blotting the excess oil helps keep the foundation from "melting".

L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation! I mix it with a little Olay moisturizer and it stays put all day. I too have clear skin but uneven skin tone and this evens me right out.
If you want to try a TM and live near Sephora, I'd recommend asking for samples of Tarte and Laura Mercier. Then you can try them out at home for a few days to see which you like best. I'm a LM fan myself, if it helps.
For foundation, the best I've found for my skin is the Sue Devitt line, which Sephora has annoyingly stopped carrying. Ulta has it.

I'm currently using Kat Von D's tattoo concealer, and I really am liking it. It goes on smooth, and it doesn't oxidize after a few hours(which I've had a problem with most foundations, I'm casper white). It is also med coverage, but builds nicely for full coverage.
Other foundations I've used, and liked are MUFE Mat Velvet+, and Revlon Colorstay.
I've been using Sephora brand and its been good for me. I struggle w getting a good match and they have one that's perfect. I usually use primer and it stays put all day.

I wanted a tinted moisturizer, but the none of the Laura Mercier ones matched my skin tone. The woman at Sephora suggested Hourglass Illusion, and I love it. Very light feeling, but it has good coverage.

You might like a tinted moisturizer. LM is the most popular one I've heard of. I like BB cream...I wear Smashbox but Clinique's is also really popular. For a cheaper alternative you can also try Garnier's.
