I am thankful my baby was good at dinner last night. She was really fussy for about an hour from 4-5 and I was meeting the whole family where I work for dinner at 6 so I almost cancelled even though I was looking forward to it. I didn't want her to freak out in front of everyone I work with or in front of my niece because she is already a little nervous with her. Turns out A was awesome and now my niece wants to hang with her again, Yay!

I am thankful that we just got to spend a great weekend with H's best friend, who is home for a short break of his third tour of Afghanistan. I'm grateful he is safe, could come home for his little brother's wedding, be with his family and wife, and most importantly spend time with his 11 month old baby, whose first year of life he is missing out on. Seeing the sacrifices his family has to make, put into perspective my being annoyed when say, H has to work late and and getting dinner cooked with 2 kids underfoot is a hassle or some other comparably insignificant issue.

I second that Sara!
I'm thankful for my car. I just had to drive to Orlando and back and am so thankful I have a great car that runs. Up until I got this one last June, I'd never had a truly reliable car. Its awesome.
