Last night we were invited to the Met's end of season party so we went and got our weekly dose of posh.... then of course I have to go ahead and be my[WTF]self.
One of my Meastri approaches me and I go "Happy ending Maestro!"
>my brain freezes< >I register< >I promptly spit out a desperate "GGGHHOFTHESEASON!"<
I'm counting on that one-in-a-million chance that he was already drunk enough not to notice my existence at all.
Anyone wants to console me with one of their faux-pas stories?

A few weeks after I got there, he tried to explain to me what that meant, and the conversation literally started, "When a man and a woman..."

Thanks crimson, I'm relieved to hear that it might not have been too bad....
That's funny about the excited thing! It gets a lot of english speaking folks when they translate it into Italian too, the closest word is eccitato/a which also means principally aroused.
