Fluids for dehydration

Has anyone ever received iv fluids for dehydration? Do they make you feel better?

Yes. Back in February Luis snd kids got stomach flu. I with my lysol, masks, and gloves avoided it, but I was so busy taking care of kids and DH I didnt eat or drink much. I went to ER for dizziness and generally feeling like crap and they had to give me 2 bags of fluids. I felt like a brand new person.

Yes! I seriously wish I could give myself daily IV fluids! I have discovered that dehydration is the #1 cause for contractions in L&D triage. True story.

I did have 1 contraction during the hour I was hooked up but the Dr wasn't concerned with just one. I'm drinking Gatorade like a boss today.
