Daily Cleaning...

So I am making a daily checklist so my house doesn't go to shit when I get busy again... (And for whenever H is home so he knows what needs to be done as well)

What would you put on it?

Dishes in the Dishwasher,
Dirty Clothes in the Hamper,
Make Bed,
Wipe counters,

Anything else?

feed animals/clean litter box

People sweep and mop every day?! Dang... That happens every other week here, unless something spills or otherwise creates the immediate need to do this.

My daily cleaning stuff is basic dishes (empty/load dishwasher, handwash items that need handwashing), laundry into hamper, general tidying, cleaning up any messes made in food prep or other activities...

I have a toddler who throws 40% of his food from each meal on the floor. Sometimes sweeping happens multiple times each day LOL

Good point. I was thinking it might be kid/pet related... We have neither here.

The floors in our house (base housing) are all tile. Every single room. With a 4 year old and 2 dogs, it has to be swept and mopped daily or your feet become a disgusting mess by night time. And we have area rugs.

I never want an all tile house ever, ever again!

My daily chores take half the day with 6 of us. I do a minimum of 3 loads of laundry a day to include one set of sheets. Sweep and mop the floors. Straiten one room. Each room has a certain day for a good cleaning. Dishes, wipe down kitchen counters, wipe down bathroom counters, take trash out, clean toilets. Do what every else needs to be done.

I clean when I notice it getting dirty. This can mean some days I don't clean at all. I try to stay on top of dishes, but sometimes the sink gets full.

But, no kids no pets. And when H is gone, very little mess.

I would add wipe sinks. I now wipe the sink every time I brush my teeth, and wash my face. I also rinse the kitchen sink after I'm done doing the dishes.
