why did i ever open my barbies and play with them? why did i not have enough foresight as a 2 year old to save that 1988 holiday barbie? whyyy?
dr. barbie was one of my favourites! she still might be kicking around my parents house, actually, but the babies are probably long gone thanks to various pets who liked to eat my toys :-\
is it farmvillelover that has the barbie collection? i bet she has some of these!
you know what i'm sad didn't make the list? kool-aid barbie. i drank so much kool-aid to collect those points so i could get her. she was super tan and had a middrift purple shirt and i think i tennis racket. i loved her. i would expect she is sort of rare since she wasn't available for sale.
also, gymnastic stacy with the uneven bars and her hot pink sparkly star leotard.
I believe I owned none of those! Damn small town low selection. I did own others & still do, some I've given my kids to play with. I was never rich or spoiled enough to buy toys & not play with them but not DH. We've got boxes & boxes of vintage toys in the packages his mom bought him. Figures we'd have all girls. We spent a fortune shipping them here from VA to sell yet the boxes haven't been touched in the 8mo since we sent them...lol.
I wanted DreamGlow Barbie and Ken so bad when I was a kid! I didn't have any of those, but I used to have the whole Loving Heart family...
OMG! I was trying to remember the name of this family a few weeks ago! I don't remember having the twins, but I had the mom, dad, and baby set---the mom had an ugly maternity smock as well as her regular clothes.
I had 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12. If I remember right, Totally Hair Barbie was the last one I bought, and I was just a leeeeettle too old to be playing with Barbies (or at least to admit to it). But her hair was SO pretty! Of course, all played with many times, and now who knows where they've ended up...
This is making me nostalgic for my Barbies.
I think my very favorite was my Day to Night Barbie. Was she a savvy business woman? Or a rocking party girl? Day or night, that sparkly pink top lost some of it's shape over time, and never covered up her boobs properly. Scandal.

Day to night was my absolute favorite too, with Magic Moves Barbie close behind.
I had dream glow, Crystal Barbie every single Barbie and the Rockers doll (plus all their rivals, Jem and the Holograms and the Misfits )
Barbie dolls were my absolute favorite toy growing up. I have a ton of Collector barbies sitting in their boxes in my basement. I doubt I'll ever display them, but I just can't bring myself to sell them.

I had everything on the list. Amazing. Who knows what happened to them, I'm guessing my little sister inherited them when I went away to school. A few years ago I saw a used Peaches n Cream barbie at a yard sale and bought her for like $1 for old times sake. She was my favorite.
