I really like those. It's hard to stomach, but when I have huge money shocks like that I rationalize it by saying that it will be something that I will be looking at for a long, LONG time... In this case, I would say, in 5 years that's only $200/year which only works out to less than $17/month which doesn't even buy me coffee on a daily basis. It makes my house THAT much prettier and it's not even the cost of coffee... LOL So yes, to me it would be worth it. And FWIW, I spent 4 times that on our front door in my old home and I never regretted the decision. If you don't spend the money, will you always look at the other door and wish that you HAD? That's what would decide it for me.

I'd spend the money on them. Our last house had windows in the great room that didn't match. The windows that faced the street had grilles, the windows that faced the backyard didn't. It annoyed me so much.
They are worth it. The simulated divided lights look much more historic. Maybe you can save some of the money on something else that is not part of the bones of the house and can be upgraded later on.
