11 miles yesterday 2.5- HR was so high in the beginning for no reason which was frustrating so i had to go annoyingly slow (I am still doing some base building training so have to stay in my zones) and it took a while to set in at a comfortable pace
Half in 3 weeks
Nothing here for mothers day. Will take the bike out shortly to practice on clipping in and out
I ran 14.75 today. It felt great, especially considering I ran a 5k yesterday (added an extra 5, for 8 total). I want to do around 14-16 every couple weeks until marathon training starts in late Summer. Building up to 13-16 has been tough the last couple months, and I'm scared of losing it again. Plus, I really enjoy the 2 hours of just me and my IPod. For Mother's Day I requested a solo long run, and carry out Chinese and wine for lunch. Done and done
Today was my first real run since last week's half (I shoved a mile out yesterday for a warm up and really felt it). It was just 3 miles but it felt so good! I'll say a 4. The weather was perfect and it felt great to run-just a few minor issues with stiffness. I could have kept going but didn't want to overdo it.
Then I come home and stretched and did some yoga.
I have a 5k on Memorial Day to get ready for.
No plans since we didn't go home this weekend and DH is feeling miserable from allergies.
My workout was a 1, possibly a -1. I did seven miles this morning, but I really wasn't feeling it at all.
I am not training for anything specific, just working on speed to try and get my 5k time down.
We went to see DH's family for Mother's Day. Spending time with his family can be painful at times. I am glad we are heading home in an hour. We saw my family last weekend.

What was your long workout this weekend? 6.2 miles of run a song, walk a song with DH last night on a new route. (previous longest run was under 4 miles!)
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? 4.5. I'm thrilled to have knocked out 6.2 miles, but with so much gas in the tank at the end, I wish I would have pushed harder.
What are you training for? 5K June 2, maybe 10K July 4th
I'd say about a 4. I have a half next weekend, and have been very sore and tired while getting back into running shape after taking a few weeks off for an injury. I ran 6 and felt like I was pushing it (but still okay) for the last 3 miles, which were all about a full minute faster than I've been running lately. I'm trying to stay positive that I actually finish this half without dying Now off to swim!
I'd give it a 4/5. I felt great and was actually pulling more reps than my partner, who was a CF newbie. Minus 1 point because I felt a little crampy towards the end and I hate burpees more than anything.
For Mother's Day, DH made me chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! I don't think I really qualify yet though, but it was nice of him to think of it.
What was your long workout this weekend? 3 hour mountain bike ride yesterday with my awesome teammates in the mountains.
On a scale of 1-5, how was your workout? 3.5
What are you training for?The biggest mountain bike race in the Southeast in a few weeks. I only want to not embarrass myself at the race this year. Racing with a migraine last year was not a bright idea.
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day? I treated my non-mother self to some new clothes at Ann Taylor Loft. I also called my mom. Both of our mothers are out of state, so we don't usually do much.
I did 9 miles down at the beach with my running group. It was a nice day. I'd give the overall workout a 4.5. I'm just trying to keep my overall fitness up through the summer until I start half & full training in the fall. Today, I met my mom half way between our cities & took her to lunch.
I did 6 miles with my sister this morning...after a fall and winter of 9-12 mile long runs 6 doesn't feel long but it was my longest run of the week so it counts My sister is a little faster than me and it was kind of humid this morning so I'll rate it a 3.5-it wasn't bad but wasnt fabulous either.

What was your long workout this weekend? 8 miles. I love tapering!
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? 3... still a little tired and have a few sore muscles but not terrible
What are you training for?Green Bay Marathon next weekend
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day?Nothing too special. We're both seeing our moms when we go north next week. We went shopping for presents today

What was your long workout this weekend? 8 mile run w/ the group
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? 5 for sure - It was my first sub-8 long(er) run, and it was fantastical!
What are you training for? nothing. just maintaining a decent base through the summer so marathon training doesn't totally kill me
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day? We went to see my Mom, and I spent some time with one of my cousins. and i pimped my car all over town.
I ran 8 miles on Saturday - weather was overcast and around 75. I'll give the run a 4 - I was sore from lifting the day before but I'm glad I'm upping my mileage. This was my second 8 mile run!
I have a 5K during PRIDE week in June. I'm trying to keep a good base mileage because I'm throwing around the idea of running a half in the Fall.
My mom lives out of state - missed her a lot today:(
What was your long workout this weekend? Did a 51 mile bike ride
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? I give it a 4. The ride was so pretty! The rest stops were stocked full of yummy food. I ran into a bunch of people that I know. it was soooo fun!
What are you training for? 70.3 in July
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day? We didn't do anything. My mom is on a vacation.
Ran 7 miles and change yesterday on The Mall. It was pleasant, so I'd say 4. Got the last 2 miles sub-8. Tourists annoy me though!!
I will be training for the Marine Corps Marathon, but right now I am not following a training schedule.
Taking MIL out for dinner. That's about it. Everyone else is napping or watching sports.
congrats! you're now a officially a DC runner!
my run on the mall this week had me considering busting out an air horn for future runs. I HATE it when they make eye contact with you and STILL continue meandering along, taking up the entire sidewalk, not a care in the world, doing NOTHING to alter their course. you see me! I know you do!

I did 11 miles today. I'm not officially training for anything, but I had gotten a new type of energy chew in a race bag and wanted to try them out. I briefly contemplated snacking on them while sitting on my couch but decided a long run was the more respectable option.
It was a perfect day for running - 65 with a light breeze. The run would have been a 9.5 on the enjoyability scale, but 10 miles in, a man in a wheelchair shouted at me, "Climb on my lap and I'll give you a ride."

What was your long workout this weekend?
Well, I'm taking a little bit of a break, so no long runs like I'm used to. I did an hour hot yoga class on Saturday and did a 5.25 mi run Sunday.
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout?
Both of them were about 4's.
What are you training for?
Nothing yet. I start marathon training in late July. Eep.
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day?
My mom, sister and I had a spa day yesterday. Today I volunteered at our local arboretum (LOTS of families for Mothers' Day). Both our families (mine and IL's) hung out for the afternoon, just a low-key afternoon of snacks and drinks. I was hoping for some pool time but everyone else decided it was too cold. (WTF, it was in the 80's today.)

I haven't ran on the mall in ages. I used to run on the mall at lunch but I couldn't handle the tourists. I prefer to run on the WoD trail and the Mount Vernon trail to running on the mall.
I ran a 10K yesterday, my first in seven years. PRd, naturally. Not a bad way to celebrate being 6 days out from a marathon. Go legs! Mother's Day was low-key around here.

On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? I'd give it a 4. Ran 11 miles, and it went surprising well (even though it was warm for Seattle area this weekend and I ran out of water during the last mile.)
What are you training for? 1/2 marathon in 3 weeks.
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day? Responding late, but brunch with DH and DS's in the morning and shopping with friend in the afternoon. It was a nice day!
What was your long workout this weekend? I did an hour long run yesterday
On a scale of 1-5 (1 being shittastic (does shittastic have two t's??) and a 5 being "fuck yeah, that was awesome!"), how was your workout? - I'd say a 3. Wasn't awful, wasn't great
What are you training for? - nothing at the moment, but I'm trying to work on my speed, I'd love to get my sub 2 hour half this fall
Are you doing anything for Mother's Day? - I cleaned and went for my run

I live like 1.5 miles away from the mall so I usually end up there at some point during my long runs. plus, there are water fountains. I can deal with oblivious tourists for a bit if it means I don't have to carry water.
really, I just have to start dragging my ass out of bed and getting to running earlier so I can finish up before the smithsonians open.

My long (9 miles - again, I'm stuck!!!) run happened on Wednesday instead of over the weekend b/c we had a lot going on Sat/Sun but I did a 6 mile tempo @8:29 on Sat. that I am pretty proud of. I'm not too fast these days so I felt like I was flying, but I also felt good too so I would give it a 5!!!!
