S/O cleaning - baseboards?

How often do you get down and scrub your baseboards, walls, window ledges, etc?

Every time we move into a new house I say I am going to stay on top of it. Then it slips my mind.

At our last house I did it 2x in 2 years. The baseboards, that is. The window ledges maybe once a month and the walls - whenever I realized that the kid had flung food/drink/unidentifed gunk on them.

As the house is very bare right now, I am realizing I haven't done it at all since October.

I do it like 4 times a year. More for window ledges, because of our cat.

Baseboards? Maybe once or twice a year.

Window ledges, walls, door jambs (where hands touch them) maybe 4 times a year, or more often if they look dirty.

Window ledges often, at least once a month. I have a cat who LOVES to sit in the windows and the two windows in the front room are low so the little wiener dogs like to go look out of the windows too so I clean them a lot.

As far as doors and door jams every once in a while, so probably every 3 months or so.

Baseboards I do when I do the floors so every 2 weeks or so. Are floors are light in color and the baseboards draw attention to the floor and the dust so I just do them at the same time. I use the extendy hose on my vacuum.

If I see the baseboards are collecting dust of have scuffs I'll clean them. Probably once a week. We have a dog, two cats and *almost* 15 month old twins. I'm ALWAYS cleaning something.

I haven't lived in one place longer than 18 months for, um, over a decade. So I choose when I move out. Although, that's not exactly true. I'd wipe down the tops when I noticed them getting dirty at my last place. 2 dogs, though, meant it happened fairly frequently.

This post made me realize our condo doesn't have baseboards. More evidence of the rushed flip job. I will probably point this out to the owner who's doing an inspection later this week. I think he bought it sight unseen. He certainly didn't see it once the remodel was finished b/c I moved in the day after the CO, in fall, and he only visits the island in summer.

Previously, I'd wash the window ledges weekly and at the least Monthly. However, our current house has very few windows so I haven't decided how often I am going to do them. Probably monthly.

As for baseboards, I do them seasonally.
