Uggggg. I had to be "on" all weekend out of town, then have to hang out with two friends this week and the IL's are going to stay with us this weekend. I hate having to be on all the time. I really like time to myself.
Part of what I hate about life as a mom is that I cant ever be alone long enough to recharge. I'm seriously getting burned out.
Don't get me wrong, I love b, and I love being with her. But I'm never alone, and it wears on me.
I completely understand this. My H works nights two weeks out of the month and I don't know what I would do without that after bedtime recharge time when he's not here.

I've been called out for my resting bitch face. (Not testing birch face, autoincorrect!) Many find me intimidating until they get to know me. I'm kind of okay with that. It means less people talk to me.

Same here. I put that face on when I don't want people to talk to me.
I'm super extroverted, but I still relate to some of these! My fave is "I'd love to hang out but I have to go sit in my house by myself." LOL. When I lived alone I felt like saying that a lot. Some nights I just loved my apartment and my cat and my wine and my trash TV.

I relate to some of these, at the same time I talk for a living. I'm an extrovert according to the MBTI test, but I think I fall somewhere in between the two.

I know you're not a teacher, but I often feel that I talk for a living as a teacher! And I'm definitely an introvert. I read some statistic one time (who knows how reliable it was) that the majority of teachers are actually introverts.
Rjamz, on what planet are you an introvert? I didn't look at the link, but I am too frequently guilty of "no, really, what's wrong?"
Agreed, Rjamz you don't strike me as introverted AT ALL.
Lol, I'm one of those slow to warm.up people. We skipped that bc I already "knew" you guys from the internet, so we were friends already when we actually met. Plus there was wine.

LOL at the bitch face and "are you okay?". I'm always like "that's just my face!"
in high school people used to always tell me to smile. I would think someone was crazy walking down the halls smiling at nothing.
Oh my goodness, yes! My sister was 2 years older than I was and her friends always thought I was stuck up because I never said hi to them in the hallways. What they didn't realize was that I was so shy and insecure, I was terrified of making eye contact because I didn't know what to do.
All of these apply to me. I like spending time with people, but then I need alone time to recharge.
I can relate too, I am always making up excuses why I can't go out with my friends. It's kind of sad. I apparently have the resting bitch face too because I have heard that people think I'm a bitch just because I don't talk or say hi to them? Stuff like that.
Also the WORST is when you're at the store or out in public and someone goes - Smile!! I hate that so much. Leave me alone people I don't want to smile!!
