Hi, I'm moving to Ireland from the US in July and was hoping someone could recommend a reputable moving company for me. I've already secured one but I have come across some really bad reviews on them after initially only seeing the good ones and I am now worried that we will be scammed if we go with them. If anyone has a recommendation for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I used Allied International for my move from the US to Australia. I had no issues at all. They came and packed up everything and it was delivered right on schedule, and the Australian team unloaded and unpacked everything, and hauled away the trash.
I don't recommend Santa Fe. They stuck packing tape directly on a bunch of my stuff, which ended up destroying a couple of things (e.g. ripping the finish off of office furniture) and years later there's still tape residue on all of my plastic storage boxes.
I think my other move was by Transportation Worldwide. It went much better.
I don't recall who we moved with but I just recently inquired about purchasing some US furniture and having it shipped to Europe. It was a referral from a friend and the company is Ocean Star International and they seem excellent and very good prices. Their customer service has been excellent too! www.osishipping.com
Thank you all for the responses. I got a quote from a company for $4925 for a little over 300cf of stuff. Does that seem exorbitantly high or is that about the going rate? This doesn't include insurance but does include packing which we will already have done. So will have to ask them to re-adjust to exclude the packing and materials from the price. I have a call into another shipping company to get another quote too. Maybe I'm just being cheap???

Double check on if you can pack it yourself. When I moved 3 years ago all International shipments had to be packed by the shipping company. They are the ones that are on the line for verifying what is in the boxes they are bringing into a foreign country.
Did that rate include the customs fees, import taxes etc?
