What do you do all day? I recently became a stay at home wife due to work cutting my hours + the drive costing more then what I was getting paid.
I'm at a loss sometimes; there is cleaning the house but I feel like other stay at home wives do so so much more. Granted, this knowledge is only coming from things like blogs where it is pretty easy to make it look like you never sit down during the day.
Well, I do a little grocery shopping, read, errands for the house, take care of the animals, foster kittens, meet with friends, etc. I also have a couple of small nanny I got via a website that I do.
I grocery shop and do all the cooking, clean (as best I can with my back condition), I run all errands, I help him with his errands. I see it as my job to make his home life as easy as possible. He has a really stressful job and he provides well for us.
As far as for my entertainment - I am on here and pinterest. I also do a lot of baking.
Being a stay at home wife rocks (as long as there are things around the house that you love to do).
Besides the pesky housework, I volunteer one day a week, I garden (anywhere from one to three hours a day), I exercise, and I bake. These are things that I rarely had time to enjoy when I was working full time.
In the past I've done a lot of home improvements (as this house was a fixer-upper)--I've painted the entire house and all trim and doors.

My H and I just moved and I am a SAHW until I go back to school (and work on campus) in August.
I spend my time working on decorating our new place (including lots of crafts and DIY) cooking all of our meals, going above and beyond with the food stuff and making my own cheese and sausage, I have a small vegetable, garden, I hang out with my cats, do any errands that need to be done, and make any of the annoying phone calls that need to be made (like to Comcast, insurance, etc.) I also spend a fair amount of time on the internet and reading.
Well, I SAH, but I have a kid, so it's a little different. Besides baby wrangling. I generally run all the errands, read a lot and eff around on the Internet. I try to garden, but it's hard with the baby. We hang out at my ILs, swim, etc.
My SAHW days are over, but I do have summers off and DD is at sleep away camp for most of it. I read, do projects I've bookmarked during the year, travel to see my sister (3 hr drive away) and visit with friends.
During the year, I keep a list of fun things to do and write things down as I think of them. When summer comes, I have a ready made listnof activities to choose from.
For productive things, I volunteer with the animal shelter and do projects for teams that DD is on during the school year. I also do some heavy couponing in order to get things like treats and litter for the shelter pets for little cost or free. It really stretches my donation money.
I was a stay at home wife for about 2 years. My brain felt like it was turning into mush. I got depressed and bored. I kept "busy" by exercising a lot, yoga, walking, cleaning, shopping, gardening, writing a book, cleaning, errands and volunteering.
But still I felt pretty useless and idle, like all I did was look for ways to fill my days. Looking back it was really not a good time for me.
I'm MUCH happier working in a professional career I love. My house isn't as clean though and I have a lot of projects sitting around that I hope to get to one day.
I still cook most nights and volunteer. I don't work out nearly as much as I used to either.
I'm technically a stay at home wife. I spend my days trying to get my business going, cooking, cleaning (sometimes), grocery shopping, taking care of all the animals, handling all the bills/money, basically he goes to work and I do everything else. But he does still help a ton.
OH! And for the past 2 months I've been going to the gym for about an hour a day.
