1. I think of Benny (Owl) every time I hear that new song Brave by Sarah Bareilles.
2. Oy, the big girls got grounded for the day then did something else and lost horse privileges for the rest of the week, it's barely past 7am.
3. I've been craving coffee like crazy, I almost bought a can yesterday but the thought of my anxiety flaring up stopped me, now I wish I'd bought it anyway.
4. FIL said something very rude to me after Izzie's party on Saturday, I can't get it out of my head and am really upset with him.
5. We are looking for a second horse for J and myself, Clifford can handle my weight for short periods but he is a senior and really should be ridden by the kids more than me.
6. The first day of Fall is on J's birthday this year.
7. Our wedding is in 3 1/2 months and I haven't looked at dresses.
8. I'm wearing flats under my dress, heels are impossible.
9. There's a big slice of chocolate chip cake in the fridge, I might have some for breakfast.

1. E has been asking for a dog for quite some time. She has one at her dad's and I've always said we aren't home enough for it to be fair to the dog, it's a big responsibility, etc.
2. E and her dad adopted a free puppy over the weekend.
3. Today I get an email stating that says he hopes I will consider taking the dog as often as possible as he wants the dog to attach to E, not to him.
4. The dog is 10 weeks, is not potty trained, has fleas (they treated, but you know), probably hasn't been to the vet or had shots, etc.
5. I did not sign up for this nor was I even consulted about this.
6. I love animals, but I just don't have the time. It's enough as a single parent to get Em to/from her activities, help with homework, cook, try to keep a clean house, maintain the yard, etc. Much less carve out a little time for me.
7. I am considering finding a counselor to help me deal with the situations surrounding E and her dad. I am trying hard to parent her as best I can but I need some new tactics.
8. Is it vacation yet? Seriously, next Friday cannot be here soon enough.
9. Work is busy, yet here I am.
10. Yay for Ten Things Tuesday! bluedaisyus, get in here!
Thanks Kari! I forgot you're not on FB. I posted a n obnoxiously long post there about everything that happened that led to the need of a c-section, rather than a VBAC, like I was hoping for. In sum, the baby has the chord around its neck and possibly torso and with my already slim chances of a successful vaginal birth, due to the issues I had with Noah trying to come down (which resulted in an emergency section) and the chord, I decided to forgo the VBAC and just get him/her out the safest way possible.
1. watching the finale of the next food network star. The kids LOVE this show! 2. G just had his first phone call from a friend. It was priceless. 3. I made roasted cauliflower for dinner. It was delicious and I don't like veggies. 4. I want to go to happy hour soon. I love happy hour.
1. We just had a marathon doctors appointment. It was supposed to be just a physical but Ella was wheezing (thanks preemie lungs). So we had to get a nebulizer treatment. So with that and shots and hearing and eye tests we were there for 2 hours.
2. Ella did great which is a huge improvement from last year. The difference between 3 and 4 is crazy (in a good way)
3. E is at camp this week. It is so mice to have some me time.
4. I have loved our summer together. I love getting to spend the summer at home with her. I am going to miss our summers together when she is older and wants to do something without me.
5. I really only have this week and next week of vacation. I go back two weeks from today. My back to school stress dreams have started.
6. I have a new team this year. I am so nervous!
7. We have narrowed our donor choices down to 3 or 4. I am not enjoying this. I just want our old donor.
8. Oh have I not mentioned that we are trying to have a second baby??
9. Ella has grown so much this year. She is 40.5 inches and 39 lbs. which is the 77th and 76th percentile. Can you believe that??? She was 32lbs and 38 inches last year!
10 I think even my Dr was shocked about Ella's growth.

Haha, sorry seattlekari I just got back to work yesterday from my vacation, and it is a crazy week here!
1. I had an AWESOME weekend. Kayaking, drinking, eating, friends, a pool and a hot tub, and some sexy time. Yeah.
2. We had some people who were being really wishy washy and decided not to come which meant it was more for all of us, but frankly it was better because of course the people who didn't come are the drama queens.
3. Since there was no drama and everyone had such an awesome time we decided we're all willing to pay more for that, so we're going to do it again next year with the exact same smaller group and screw the rest, if they want to do something they can organize it and shell out the money upfront.
4. And OH! It was the Perseids! I SAW SO MANY METEORS! It was amaaaaaaaaazing! I didn't get any good pictures I don't think (I haven't actually uploaded them to my computer yet but I was having lens fogging issues), but it was awesome.
5. It was funny because my friends were all getting into it too, we were sitting around the fire and they all had their chairs turned and were looking for them. I was inside at one point and they were yelling in to tell me that they saw one, haha!
6. I needed that weekend. I need another one. But, not too much longer and we're be at Disney World!
7. Our Disney luggage tags came in the mail yesterday. My baby was so excited, he held them over his face and said "look, I'm Mickey!" And then later I had them and he held out his hand and said "tickets, please!" Haha!
8. I was happy to have him back home last night, but he was a little terror this morning. Getting back to the routine after 5 nights at Grandma and Grandpa's isn't that fun.
9. I'm hungry and the head boss is outside grilling for everyone today. I want to go out there now...
10. I keep coming back to add to the list, but I should probably get back to work instead of trying to think of one last thing.
