It annoys me that you can basically pick the losing contestant each week based on their personalities. For example, I just knew Eddie was going home even before they started the sushi competition because he was quiet and, personality-wise, he really had nothing going for him compared to the other contestants ... the two sexy girls, the two cocky guys, the nice guy, the drama queen - he was just a normal guy, but I think that the football thing helped advance him because it was an interesting trait.
I can see Luca winning the whole thing. He's got a good backstory and he seems like a pleasant guy. Jordan seems the most talented and technically skilled, and Natasha is up there as well, but they've both got some attitude problems so they might let the nice guy win over either of them.
I thought it was such a load of bullcrap last year when Becky came in third. As soon as she was eliminated I knew that there was no way that Christine was going to lose to Josh. It's nothing short of amazing that Christine has accomplished what she has, but once Becky was out it felt like a complete setup to get Christine to win. And it's probably a good thing for the show that Josh didn't win, because apparently he's been in trouble with the law lately.
It's annoying me to no end that Krissi is in the Top 6. The ONLY reason she's still on the show is because she's a huge bitch and she creates drama. I can't remember the last time that she was featured on camera for anything other than rolling her eyes and running her stupid trashy mouth at someone ... when was the last time that she was acknowledged for making a good dish? I think they'll knock off James and Jessie before she goes, just to keep some drama in there.
I can't stand it when TV shows appeal to the lowest common denominator ... the show's already starting to annoy me (like when Joe completely wasted all those eggs and plates by dramatically chucking them in the trash ... seriously, there's probably starving people right outside that studio and you're trashing perfectly good food and plates just to make a point? Douche), and if Krissi makes it into the finals then I think I'm done with it for good.

IMO Krissi should have been kicked off the show for threatening other contestants. This show usually doesn't let the nasty people win, so unless they are doing a "redemption" storyline with Natasha, I don't see her winning. I think Jessie will make the final 2, and likely win due to her marketability.
FWIW, one of the contestants from last season is my neighbor. He is a nice guy, but didn't get much camera time. He said the girls last season were huge drama queens and filming took forever because they were crying and bitching all the time.
I HATE Krissi. There's no way I can picture her winning. She'll talk about wanting to beat the crap out of Bri just for existing and I'm like, "are you SERIOUS? What did anyone ever do to you, bitch?!"
I'm kind of digging James, but he doesn't seem clean cut enough to win. Bri is probably my favorite (fellow vegetarians unite!), but I don't know if she'll win after being eliminated once already. I think the contestants this year are a bit boring, really. Jordan seems talented, but I don't love him. I think Luca should have gone home weeks ago. Natasha seems kind of nasty. Jessie is boring.
Christine was such an obvious winner last year. Which was great, because I liked her.
It really annoys me that James never ties back his hair while he's cooking. Yuck.
I'm sure most of the girls are guilty of the same thing, but I'm fixated on him for some reason. Mainly because I don't really "get" long hair on guys ... do your own thing and all, but I don't get the appeal.

I think Bri is getting the Christine edit -spunky vegetarian fights the odds and wins it all! I was not at all surprised to see her back. Jessie and James are my favorites. I can't believe Luca is still there. Natasha is annoying, but I will take her any day over Krissi. Krissi is the worst.
I agree, and overall this season isn't nearly as good as last season. I'm hoping Luca or Jessie win because they seem more genuine than the rest, but in a way I don't want Jessie to win because so far every season has had a female winner with a male runner-up.
Bri gets on my nerves for some reason so I wasn't excited to see her rejoin the competition. Also there is something about Jessie that comes across as a bit fake.
I am predicting a Jordan vs Natasha finale (I haven't seen last night's episode yet so I have no clue who gets eliminated).
Ugh. I was SO pissed to see Krissi win the Mystery Box Challenge and automatically advance to the next round. Luca had that challenge in the bag and I'm sure they just let her pass because they wanted to keep her around for the drama, and she probably would've done a crappy job if she'd competed in the poultry competition. There was nothing special about that steal or potatoes.
I was really surprised that Jordan lost instead of Jessie. He's been consistently good all season. (But he doesn't have boobs, so Too Bad So Sad ).
And, ugh, think they kissed Walmart's ass enough? I love how the judges (especially Joe) are always waxing poetic about high-class restaurants and the finest ingredients, and yet magically they're not above sucking up to freaking Walmart. I get shows need sponsors to pay the bills, but I hate when they're so hypocritical about it.
The key to this show seems to be DVRing it ... we fast-forwarded through so much just to weed out the bullshit.
I watched the episode, but not as closely as I would've liked (my kids were around and distracting me lol). I do agree with many of the things you posted. I also lol at all the Walmart praise. We get it, they're a huge sponsor!
How does Gordon walk around in those pants? I swear that his pants get tighter every season.
I died when they brought Lynn back. OMG, the sweating! The sweaty towels! GAAAHHHH. He needs one of those man headbands.
I don't like Krissi either. It must be hard to carry around that enormous chip on her shoulder. At times, I do feel sorry for her, but overall, she is just unlikeable with her bitterness and horrible attitude.
LOL! Thanks for sharing. I loved the part about Joe being bored. Joe is my favorite. I didn't love all the plate throwing during the egg challenge though. That was excessive.
I got SO pissed at how wasteful that was. I know they want to be dramatic, but there's no excuse for trashing perfectly good food and dishes like that.
(I mean, I don't know what they'd do with the eggs other than let the cast and crew eat them, but that's not the point.)
The product placement/sponsorship is just SO obvious. "Oh, hello James, I see you are cooking on this non-stick Walmart brand griddle. I just love the way it allows food to slide right off onto your plate with the perfect amount of crispiness. And you can only get it at Walmart!" It's been like that every season, IIRC.

It would be one thing if the food they say is from Wal-Mart actually looks like food from Wal-Mart. I've NEVER seen produce that looks that fresh and good condition at mine. Yea.... I'm not buying that stuff.
I'm glad that Jordan is gone. I think Krissi will be hanging around a little longer, since lately they've been playing up her "skill".
