The product placement is out of control this season! I wonder if they are trying to make more money or if they have to have a million small sponsors because big ones pulled out.
I HATE that they brought Sandro back, even if it was just to say goodbye.
Ken is scary. Like, I think he is going to kill them all in their sleep kind of scary. It is completely obvious that PR orchestrated that team for the maximum amount of fuckery. They got it. I'm glad Sue is gone. She might be a good designer (anything is possible, right?) but this was not the right forum for her.
I'm glad Jeremy finally got a win. I'm surprised they liked Karen's as much as they did.
Hopefully Miranda will get the boot next week. Although it might be Justin, depending on the challenge. His stuff has just been kind of blah.
I agree with almost everything you just said, speckledfrog. The Lexus part of the challenge was almost as weird as the Yoplait thing.
Ken is so controlling. I can't believe he demanded that Alexandria just stop talking. What a little diva!
My favorites were Bradon and Miranda. Yes, you read that correctly, I really liked Miranda's dress. I didn't care for Jeremy's dress. I thought the cups were strange. I liked the overall look, but the bust was a little off for me. I thought Karen's dress was odd; I really don't understand the judge's love for it.
I thought Sandro's return was kind of strange but it was really weird how different and sane he was. He seemed pretty humble but I can't help but wonder the reason for him needing to do it in front of the cameras.
Also agree with just about everything speckledfrog said.
315: Ay, dios mio! I had to read that Miranda comment twice!
I'm glad Sue is gone; that whole mess was painful every episode. IMO, she shouldn't have been on the show (a la Heidi: "You can't sew? How'd you get here?!). I just tried not to think or comment on her because it felt like kicking a puppy--everyone knew she didn't belong.
I also agree with otowngirl about disagreeing with the winner. Bradon's dress was beautiful. Jeremy's dress was uncomfortable to me, and I didn't understand the whole let's attack other teams for using fabric but ignore the fact that Jeremy's placemat dress was, OMG, fabric.
Jeremy was set up for the win because of his performance last time and the story about his grandmother. Which is crappy because Bradon deserved the win. Sometimes I really hate how the producers think they have to make a story instead of just letting the clothes speak for themselves. I used to like project runway because i felt it had the least drama of any reality show. Obviously not the case anymore. And of course Kate's team is the winning team because...Kate is going to win this season whether it is deserved or not.
I also thought Jeremy's dress looked uncomfortable. Nina praised the fitting on the top but it just squashed the model's boobs down so...I don't get why it was so great.
I said it last week but Anya won project runway a few years ago and couldn't sew. Sue not being able to sew shouldn't be a surprise. Still, it was her time to go.
I missed the part where sandro was brought back. how weird.
They should just say its the season of unconventional challenges and sponsors! While the Lexus thing isn't weird on its own, to me it doesn't go with an unconventional materials challenge at all.
I thought bringing Sandro back was weird, why does he deserve a chance to redeem himself after his tirade and camera smashing?
Sue definitely needed to go home. I'm surprised she made it that far. Although, I felt the same way about Anya too. Was it just me or did it look like Sue was wearing her black pleated curtain creation under her leather jacket? And I love that jacket... But she wears it every runway show, I don't get it.
Ken... he's an ass who thinks his shit don't stink. Alexandria was spot on - you have to walk on eggshells around him. And if he doesn't get his way, he's pissy.
I like Jeremy and I liked his look, but I"m kind of surprised he won. I thought the wedding dress team was better. But.... often times the judges make choices that I don't agree w/. No, wait. Make that ALL the time.
I think Sue deserved to go, but I'd had preferred Ken.

And haven't they already done the "drive around in a fancy car and then design a look based on the car" challenge in a previous season? The concept seemed familiar to me.

Gah, I so hope this isn't true!!! I don't like Kate at all and wish she wouldn't have been voted back in!! :-(
I totally agree about Bradon's dress being amazing, and deserving the win! The bewbage on Jeremy's model looked horrendous!!! Did they not want to give Bradon a win twice in a row? I was shocked when they were not the winning team.
And while I do like the unconventional challenges, I hope this is it :-P I liked a few seasons ago when they had to actually use car parts to make an outfit - that was awesome and required some creativity :-P
