I was doing some research trying to find a face primer for people with oily skin. I heard nothing but tons of reviews about using Milk of Magnesia. I was crazy skeptical about putting something that is supposed to make me poo, on my face all day.
I tried it and it worked. I didn't have to reapply any powder for the entire day. No shine, no oily skin. Just a set matte look. It was great.
Just be careful because I've read (on MUA) that if you use it full strength over a period of time that it can be very drying on your skin. Some people "cut" it with water.

I've only used it once. I am going to maybe use it 3 times a week. Just so it will dry up some of oily skin naturally. I've heard it also helps shrink pores. I have HUGE pores.

It is fabulous and I love it, this is the only time my makeup has stayed on past noon. I have been using it full-strength every week day, but will be alert to any drying out (frankly, I think it would take a miracle for my face to be too dry).
Some people like monistat for a cheap primer (if the m of m ends up not working)
The Monistat chafing gel isn't for oil control though (and I personally didn't LOVE it as a primer).
I'm still too scurred to try MoM. Mainly because I feel like I've got a good skin care regimen going with infrequent break outs and I'm too afraid to add something to the mix.
