When do you start to "feel" the results of marathon training (soreness, fatigue, muscle gain, crabbiness, etc)? My legs were pretty sore last week after my 15 miler. Everything else is good!

Why do I keep typing marathong instead of marathon this morning? Yay tired. What gets you out of bed to start your week? I type marathong ALL THE TIME. So annoying. I begrudgingly got out of bed this morning. I was off W-F last week with H and it was glorious

What would your 30-second highlight reel for training thus far look like? It would be pretty damn boring.
Who here has had to make any adjustments to their training? It could be workouts, nutrition, lifestyle, etc So, I need to make some adjustments to my diet, I think. I've been having tummy issues on all my long runs. I had a great run this morning, but stopped twice. That would disturb my goal pace quite a bit, esp. at MCM where there are no "quick" potty breaks.
When do you start to "feel" the results of marathon training (soreness, fatigue, muscle gain, crabbiness, etc)? I'm feeling great. I usually get burnt out a week or two befor taper. It's probably mostly mental
How has everyone else in your life reacted to your training? Has it been "keep calm and carry on" or has all hell broken loose? My husband and kids are pro's at this. I get to be on the other side with DH marathon training as well right now. He does get a little crankier and tired post long run days, but he has been a trooper. Especially since he works 60 hours a week, with a large amount of that on the bike.
Why do I keep typing marathong instead of marathon this morning? Yay tired. What gets you out of bed to start your week? Today I got up at 5am to run 17 miles. It ended up being my longest and fastest double digit run of the training cycle so far (and the year, excluding my one Spring half) BAM.

When do you start to "feel" the results of marathon training (soreness, fatigue, muscle gain, crabbiness, etc)? last week something finally clicked for me and running got a lot easier. did two double digit mid week runs on consecutrive days and my legs felt fine after both. felt good after my long run too. MH has commented that my fatigue has not been too bad (went to a beer fest in the sun after my long run Sat without a nap all day!). muscle gain? can't say that I've noticed any. crabbiness? I'm sort of like a toddler in that if I don't get my three squares or I am tired I get crabby.

What would your 30-second highlight reel for training thus far look like? This past weekend's long run. Low 60s, cloudy and breezy for August in NC - can't beat it for a 15 miler!

A little of both My BFF is running the same marathon as me & we have the same training schedule. She lives a few hours away, so it's fun to chat with her all week about our training.

When do you start to "feel" the results of marathon training (soreness, fatigue, muscle gain, crabbiness, etc)? Now! I hurt my foot and have been off letting it rest the last 1.5 wks. My body also stays sore longer now.
How has everyone else in your life reacted to your training? Has it been "keep calm and carry on" or has all hell broken loose? Supportive. My H is training for the same race, and its been nice having him there working towards the same goal. And my mom and sister signed up to do the half so its encouraging to see my family getting in on the running action!
