My Gracie cat passed away in the middle of May this year from intestinal lymphoma. She was 11 and was a wonderful cat all the years we had her in our lives. We adopted her and our other cat Theo at roughly the same time. They were very, very close. Gracie passed away in front of my bathroom on the carpet, now Theo has taken to sleeping in that same spot constantly smooshed up against the wall. He has become increasingly affectionate to almost everyone, which is amazing because he was a feral kitten. What do you think?

I'm sure that he does miss her, it's interesting that he would still sleep in that spot for so long though. The increased affection could be since they took care of each other and shared affection, he needs more from you to make up for that loss. I'm sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss.
I think it's sweet. I've seen a couple of stories about dogs that go to their owners grave every day at the cemetery or go out to the same spot where the owner would drive home every day.
Animals have excellent memories, and I think have their own way of mourning a loss.
