NY Comic Con

Anyone else going? I've got a day pass for Sunday, since Saturday was sold out by the time I decided to go. I've been to SDCC, but never NY. Even though I've lived here for 8 years now. lol.

I looked at going two years ago but it was sold out by the time I got around to looking at tickets. Tell me what cool things you are seeing.

I might go if it doesn't conflict with my grandfather's 90th birthday party if there are any tickets left by then! Mostly because it would be a good excuse to see my cousin in NY. It would be a challenge to see how many costumes I could fit in a single carry on or checked bag, lol.

My parents are coming up to stay with the kid, and DH and I are going to take a weekend trip. We were thinking NYC -- still up for the GTG at the TARDIS bar?

ETA:  Ooh, I looked it up, maybe I can steer my parents to come then.  I found the "schedule," but it doesn't actually say what's on which day, does it?

They haven't announced a panel schedule yet dr.girlfriend. Hopefully soon.

I want to go to Way Station, NYCC, and really just NY. I've never been on the East Coast before. We usually go to SDCC. Did you ever cosplay at SDCC?

No, I've actually never been that into cosplay, but the friends I'm going to NYCC with are and I thought it would be fun. Plus my new job isn't as creative as my old one, so I need an outlet.

I went to SDCC with scribellesam a few years ago and a bunch of her friends cosplay as the cast of Torchwood. They ended up on the front page of the BBC America website and got a lot of attention from the real cast at the con (mostly because at the time Torchwood hadn't  aired in the US yet, lol).

I found a wig, I just need to order it and get the stuff to dye sections of it (i.e. Sharpies). I'm going to be her from Brief Lives

Ok I just need to confirm plans with H and my cousin but airfare is pretty reasonable so I am now planning on coming! I'll probably get a Friday or Sunday ticket, looks like Saturday is sold out. Yay! So yeah, I need some insider tips too please

I'm going on Friday and Saturday. SO, my bff and her sister are accompanying me.

On Saturday we're all dressing up as villains from Batman (SO- Bane, the luchador version from the cartoon/comics, bff- 60's Catwoman, her sister- female Riddler, me- Poison Ivy)

I changed my mind about my costume, again. I'm now going as Amy Pond (lol). In the police kissogram costume in my avatar. Ordered a vest on eBay and a wig from Arda last night. Went and bought a skirt today.

Still need to get a white shirt, duty belt, patches, checkered tie thing and the checked ribbon.
