'The' Couch

I'm not a fan of couches that have the movie theatre, cup holders in them. How do you nap on that couch?

I'm not picky and am very open minded, but that is not a nice couch and looks uncomfortable as heck:(

I keep encouraging the dogs to snack on the couch. For some reason, they think I'm kidding.

Me either. I hate the center console.

And you can't nap on the couch! That's one of my biggest complaints.

Plus, on Fathers day, nobody could sit down. We had 8 people over & half of them didnt have a seat. I had to pull dining chairs into the room. Stupid.

My favorite part is the cup holders. That couch was totally designed by a male. Ha

That damn thing is so freaking heavy & big, it won't fit down the stairs to the basement. H would have to bring the couch out the front door & around to the back of the house, which would be a huge PITA. He said he wouldn't do it until his next day off (which is this Sunday), so I pushed it in the corner so that you don't see it as soon as you walk in the house.

I rearranged the room & made it completely inconvenient & uncomfortable to watch tv from the couch. I'm hoping this will inspire him to move the damn thing.

We have a baptism to go to this Sunday, so I'm willing to bet the couch doesn't get moved this weekend either.

H did ask me yesterday what type of couch I would like instead. We shall see...

If it makes you feel better, you're not the only one who has a husband with lacks in interior design skills. When we first moved to Texas my H went to hang out with his friend one evening and came back with a mounted Deer Head. His friend's wife was making him get rid of the deer head so my H brought it home for our house.

Umm, no. No deer heads in my house. Plus, isn't that like displaying someone else's bowling trophy in your house and claiming it as your own.

Oh, and when we got new couches a few years ago he wanted to put the old ones on our front porch so the dogs had somewhere to hang out outside. Whaaaatttt? Umm, if you saw where he grew up, you would have no idea where he got that idea from. His parents live in a very, very, very nice part of Orlando.......where there aren't any couches on people's front porches.

Sometimes my H can be so white trash. We have been in South Texas too long, LOL.

Yeah, the untrattractive aspect might be easier to overlook if was a very comfortable, functional couch, but clearly that isn't the case. I hope a new couch finds its way into your life- and living room- very soon.

I told MH the only thing I want for my birthday (tomorrow) is for that couch to be out of my living room.
