Not technically, no. The bank won't deposit it without a date. You COULD write the date on it, but if it were me I would feel wary about that in case the donor disputes it, etc.
There is no requirement of having a date on a personal check for the check to be cashed / deposited. Some banks however do require a date on the check and the check may be returned. Can you contact the donor and ask if they are ok with you adding the date?
